Now do it every month until you forget the APR on your card.

I went through about 3 or 4 cycles in my early years. Racked up about $30k in credit card debt, paid it off only to rack it up again. At some point enough was enough. If you can't afford it then don't buy it. Nice work. Keep it paid off.

Only use CCs for the welcome bonuses, points, and free APR periods.

Great. I remember when I did it many years ago. I pay off my credit cards each month for free trips and cash back.

Last time I carried a balance was in 2009. Paid like 6k for a 8 inch lift for my 2008 Dodge Ram Mega Cab and carried the balance for a while before it was paid off.

Priorities were a little different back then

Now I put everything on my CC but pay it off every month.

Got a promotional 12 month period with 0% interest on a card I’ve had since high school. Put about $15k on for a rental property i am fixing up. Even though it’s no interest I still feel dirty having a balance

I’m gonna brag…

I’ve never paid a cent in credit card interest. It’s called taking personal responsibility.

I forget that I even have the option to not pay off my balance. No idea what my interest rate or credit limit is. Try never to be in a situation where I need to find out what those values are.

Congrats boss that is such a good feeling.

Got my freedom back from CC debt earlier this year... Ran up to $48K at my lowest point. Never again.

Congrats!

It’s exhilarating to knock down a bunch of debt at one time. Have done it multiple times.

Well played sir. If $1700 credit card debt is your greatest financial sin you’ll be a superstar.

My view, thanks dad, on credit is it’s an extension of my bank account balance/paycheck that accumulates rewards on things I am spending money on regardless. If an emergency situation arises when you need to max it out, it’s there to use in the moment, and your credit score will be fantastic due to paying consistently and you then refi that debt to a much more manageable rate compared to a credit card. As someone else mentioned - not knowing your CC APR is real.

The only time I ever did, the CC company increased my credit limit immediately. Those sick bastards
