Daughter got a good job offer in Minneapolis. Anyone live / lived there?

I grew up there in the 90s in Champlin/Anoka, about 45 minutes north of Minneapolis. To be honest, I had a great childhood there. I moved away in 2001, so I can’t speak for it now, nor what it’s portrayed to be. But I got to ride my bike to the banks of the Mississippi and cast a line with friends with bang up parks and schools.

Spent a lot of time there. It was a nice place if you can take shoveling snow and freezing your arse off. However, think Ilhan Omar x100000. The city is basically a mosque. I would never live there again.

That is where the Squad got its start. Obama had several hundred...mabe more??...Somalian immigrants located there & that number has now multiplied to where the City Council voted to allow city-wide Muslim praying. They've now taken over the city, so some degree & growing.

Family lived in Minnetonka/Chanhassen. Very nice suburbs. Schools were great and had great recreational activities available. Visited once - it was -30.
