I’m currently in Austria on a work trip. They’re known for their Schnitzel which is basically a chicken fried steak without seasoning. Anytime I go out of the country, im just not super impressed with the food scene. I know Louisiana may be “overrated” to some, but I just never seem to find any good local foods

In my experience, Louisiana is either overrated or the places I travel are underrated. You can get exceptional food just about anywhere. It may be harder to find in some places.

What exactly are you looking for?

When you travel to other places, try what they have to offer.

Schnitzel is awesome, btw

I did say “out of the country” and I’m pretty sure Houston and Atlanta are inside the country but good try.

I loved the food in Austria. The schnitzel, the kugel, all the sausage, potato, dumpling, and cheese dishes...very filling. And the street food in Vienna and even Salzburg was great. Thick slice of pumpernickel, a hot dog, , and a dollop of mustard for 1 euro back in the day. Couldn't beat it for the price and quality. Haven't been in 20 years so I'm sure it has changed.

Louisiana food is amazing. But Greece was pretty incredible. Same with Guadalajara and Beijing. I’m sure Austria has good food. Stay away from the tourist traps.

By posters here, generally yes, which I guess is to be expected.

Haven’t been out of the country much, but have been to most states. I’ll agree that the food in Louisiana is almost unfair to compare to other states. It’s just really good down here. You can find a good meal or even good restaurants, but the best “meals” I’ve ever had have been from Louisiana.

It’s weird when they serve it with French fries too

lol. There are few things I use that for, mostly Cajun dishes. Using it on non La food does not sound like a great application.

I do like it on scrambled eggs too

Sounds like OP is just a picky eater.

Maybe he’ll get lucky and find a Chili’s

While others find a whole pint of cottage cheese to themselves.
