What are some of the best outdoor activities in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area? Anything outdoor ideas are welcome. Hiking, kayaking, golf, nature trails, swimming holes, outside attractions, etc.

Lake Ouachita is right there and that's one of the cleanest lakes on the continent. Even has it's own jellyfish. Crystals all over the place. Right now the blueberries are probably going nuts on all those islands.
Lots of crystal mines around there. Not far from Murphreesboro where Crater of Diamonds is if you wanna go find a diamond.
Most of the touristy stuff is like right out of the 1960's.

Good hiking in hot springs national park and lake Catherine state park.
Some zip lining places around.
Horse back riding at lake Catherine state park. Plenty of golf courses…hot springs CC, lots of courses in hot springs village.
Plenty of lakes for fishing, skiing, boating.
Fishing guides (stripers) on lake ouchita.
Plenty of options for boat rentals if you don’t have your own.
To name a few.

Best BBQ ribs in Hot Springs is off a food truck run by a cool Asian gal…Rib Cage BBQ.
Lake Catherine State Park has great trails and waterfalls.
National Forest to south has ALOT of trails you’ll never see anyone else on as most folks are at LCSP or HSP.

Go get a pizza at Delucas and walk through downtown. Get a burger at the Ohio Club.
Visit the gangster museum.
Stay at Oaklawn's hotel and gamble.
Then go to Lake Ouachita and rent a boat. Find an island. Have fun. Get a meal and some pie at Shangri La.
Mini golf in Hot Springs.
Lake Hamilton for a party.
Go up the Mountain Tower.

Hitting up Hot Springs Hemp(cheapest place I’ve ever been), then crossing the street and climbing the mountain and tower and returning all in 90 minutes was quite the small adventure.

You can also go to a Saturday afternoon Mass like 2 blocks from the Arlington Hotel to wash away all the sinning you can do there.
Hot Springs is quite a unique place.

Following. Planning our family vacation there next year.

One of the most boring vacations we've ever taken. First day there, we saw around 3/4s of what we wanted too. By the 3rd day, I ended up renting out a boat to spend the day on the lake unless we wanted to spend 8 hours hiking. More of a weekend getaway type of place, and not a 5-day vacation unless you don't own a boat and want to experience that.

Same…we don’t enjoy Hot Springs like we thought we would. We were camping and stayed at Gulpha Gorge . It was nice but really not something I’d want to do for a week. We stopped on the way back from Branson to break the trip up some. We will skip it next time.

May not be considered an outdoor activity but checkout a couple of the distillerys in the area.

Hot Springs Offroad Park has 1200 acres of trails through the mountains! You can go and rent a SxS and go ride trails. I normally bring my Jeep and have a blast!

Even that bath house brewery is quite impressive. Might have been pre drinking or the one dollar gummies, but I loved it.
Also, miss that crappy German pizza place and go to deluca or whatever it’s called. Best pizza outside of New England by many reviewers, portnoy included.

Too bad they don't still have the IQ Zoo.

I've tried to respond in every thread I see about hot springs. I live an hour from there. It is the biggest waste of money any family could possibly have. It's just ridiculous it's even considered a tourist spot. Just don't get it at all.
