In my lifetime vaccine mandates from the Biden administration was probably the most fascists act by the federal government. It personally effected me. I almost lost my job. My source of income.
But in terms of U.S. history, probably Executive Order 6102 was the most fascists action by the federal government.

FDR's Executive Order no. 9066 - ordering "relocation" of Japanese-Americans.

The Vietnam War was pretty bad. US Citizens forced to fight, and die. Vietnam was not the threat that our government claimed it would be.

Suspension of Habeas Corpus during the civil war needs to be on this list.

That was going to be my answer.
Also, if you count Sherman's March as Federal Government sponsored...the war was being won by the North at that point. All that act did was devastate thousands of families who would never recover.

And Germans. He also, through an executive order started the collection of taxes through payroll deductions.

My ancestors were never in a camp and had no fear of being detained.

Forced phasing out of plasma-screen televisions for environmental reasons has to be up there.
