It pains me watching Jrue be a perfect complimentary piece to a title team again

We suck as a franchise.

Why? We did him right as he did us while he was here. I'm actually happy he became the most successful guy post Pels. He deserves it. Hopefully he gets another before he retires when it's all said and done.

He totally deserves it, but it says a lot that the next two franchises he went too, he helped put them over the top.

He’s the kind of player and person every team could use. But we’re not a franchise who could take advantage of him.

Which is why it pains me seeing this.

Yeah we did right by him and that's cool, but it also just highlights how inept we are as a franchise.

Bottom line...just a terrible matchup for the Mavs. Just too much defense by the Celtics.

Joe Mazulla is on a different plane of coaching existence compared to what we got.

Were not even close.

Perfect complimentary piece? Sure if he’s asked to be the 4th best player on a team. It was never going to work with him as a number 2.

We tried to make him the #2. He’s not that. Great #3 or #4 player.

We didn’t have a true 1-A alpha to let him run with

The only fanbase that should be in pain seeing Jrue win a championship tonight are bucks fans.

can say that about a lot of our players. Or try to make them #1 when they’re really #2

The biggest what-if is honestly the Cousins-Davis-Holiday trio.

I really wonder what occurs if Mirotic came into that fold with a healthy Cousins. That spacing just makes Cousins' life easier too.

Yea I made the mistake of thinking he would never win a chip in a starting lineup, but actually you have it right. I wasn’t seeing him as a #1 or #2 and overreached.

I’m glad he is having success.
