What’s the story beyond the father who committed the murder-suicide knowing the coach, and his sons being batboys for Florida?

It sounds like the father was a successful businessman who lost his job, was in the midst of a divorce, and completely lost his mind and committed the worst possible crime.

I’m not sure what that has to do with the Florida coach.

Well the mom is currently the Florida coach's wife. Allegedly they were having an affair and the dad found out and that's when he did the murder/suicide.

Allegedly though. Officially KOS and his now wife didn't start dating until after the incident although they knew each other beforehand. But even if they were having an affair, it's not an excuse for someone killing themselves and their children so it's not like KOS is responsible for their deaths even if the affair aspect is true. It's in pretty bad taste to use that as a heckle or a joke

Sounds like UF coach allegedly was Jody with his mom. Dad went nuts and killed his two sons and himself during the divorce. Coach married mom after everything.

Also sounds like the dad was president of a company and the mom was vice president of it also. Maybe a family company of hers? So he got the axe from his job when she started divorcing him. Heckling probably wasn’t about the bat boy.
