Buccees must be opening about 7 stores in Louisiana in 2024. Wow.

We’ll manage to have the most a-hole bucees staff in America.

Bucees will be to the basin bridge as Fort Laramie was to the Oregon Trail

Buccee's is too good for us. I'm actually a supporter of the Buccee's one state solution for the Israel/Palestine conflict.

If they could build at the Whiskey Bay exit it would be a $1B location just from people going in when the bridge is shut down

I like Buc-ee's but I don't want one here.

eta: Should have worded that better. Meant not in that spot specifically. It's hood adjacent and right down the road from the TA truck stop that has been making the rounds (and the only one listed in Louisiana) as a place for truckers with valuable loads to avoid due to theft.

It's whatever to me, but that is where I usually get onto I-10, I feel like it's going to make that exit a shitshow.

Seems like an odd location choice with the huge shopping center already there at Louisiana Ave Exit.

Aren't most Bucee's at their own Exit with little to nothing else around due to the insane amount of traffic they produce?

I approve. No real quality gas/lunch stops between Lake Charles and New Orleans except for the Love’s with a Bojangles in Duson.

Guess I’ll have to take the breaux bridge exit to go back to my moms once this is built.
That said I’m excited for the area but hope they make infrastructure improvements to accommodate the massive increase in traffic.

Clean bathrooms, cheap but tasty bbq sandwiches, high quality jerky, great snacks, lots of kitschy souvenir items for sale. I get it. When I am traveling, especially places either not known for great food or where I don’t really have time to research a place to sit down and eat and then be waited on, Buccees is a great convenient alternative to fast food, which is its real competition.

People don’t think Chik-fil-a is GOAT chicken, just that it’s a better experience than most other fast food places. Buccees is like that but for gas stations.
