Nope. Hands down taking Ack out with their bottom of order in the 9th.

Look, generating only 5 hits as an offense is going to lose you over 90 percent of games in college baseball.

Holding UNC to 4 runs over ten innings playing our fifth game in four days is more than enough from the pitching staff. We had some bad luck in some hard hit balls but. Bats let us down. Learn from it and let’s get it next year!!

Dutton hasn't been good since he stopped throwing changeups his freshman year.

He should be moved on.

I think Jay figured Dutton would have to get three outs tonight (no one could have predicted Hellmers), and starting him probably gave him the best chance of doing that. It didn't work out.

Brown should have caught one of those hits.

No question. Some people think I'm shitting on the kid, but the brutal reality is that he's one of the weakest links in that bullpen.

You still had to score. When our bats got cold, that put so much pressure on our defense and pitching to be perfect. You still have to execute when your number is called. What if Jay stuck with Ack and he gave up a run? Then people would've said go to Jump. It was a tough decision to make there and I understood where Jay was going.

Sucks but proud of these guys for getting here. Their season would've possibly ended weeks ago but they worked hard and got to this point. Didnt end the way any of us wanted it to, but the young guys have gained the experience they need to build on.

Are we purposefully trying to big brain this?

The biggest mistake was Brown not catching the fly ball. It literally is what decided the game.

It was an uphill battle from the start. We should have done better to host a regional. To be honest no problem starting Dutton because he throws strikes. They had weak contact and got lucky. Jay pulled him quickly. I think the only problem I had was not sending Ack out in the 9th atlest until 1 person got on base. The bottom line is all that would not have mattered if our bats would have shown up.

They did not score on the Brown mistake. Jump still had to allow the hit to bring the winning run home. We had runners in scoring position also, and did NOT hit.

I'm not a negatiger. But putting in a tired arm in the 9th was questionable.

Still a great showing. The boys never quit.

Jump is out of the inning in order if Brown makes the catch.

Pinch hitting Frey for Larson.

Without this, Kling doesn’t get to swing at 3 eye level pitches, brown stays in center, Larson makes the play in right.

This is So easy to say after the game . What if the same Ack that pitched against Woodford showed up in the 9th? You would be saying Jay should have went to Jump. We will never know if he made the right or wrong decision.

Jay had a solid reason for going to Jump it just didn’t workout.

Ask yourself this after watching LSU play this season:

You got three outs left to win a game who do you want on the mound Ack or Jump?
