While they also have great albums, I’m not sure any other band put out the quality of b-sides the pumpkins did compared to their contemporaries.

What are some of your favorite Pumpkin b-sides? Here is one of mine.

Have "B" sides been relevant since people bought 45s?

In the 90s they were still relevant. Nirvana and Pumpkins third albums were a collection of B-sides that sold very well. Pumpkins also put out a set of b-sides of like 33 songs after MCIS double album. Corgan was a writing machine those first five years of the 90s.

Definitely The Aeroplane Flies High. How that didn't make the cut for Melloncollie is beyond me

Sooooo many good ones. Not sure if it’s a B side per se but “The Boy” is an absolute, shining gem.

My vote goes to Radiohead: Killer Cars, Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong, 4 Minute Warning (how did this get left off In Rainbows? Would have made a great album even greater), Up On the Ladder. I'll have to check out SP b-sides later as I'm not that familiar.

"Hey, Hey what can I do" by Led Zeppelin, which is my favorite Zep song, was a B Side in 1970 to The Immigrant Song.

There's a live version of Up on The Ladder - it's from a gig a few years before when In Rainbows came out - that's a top 10 Radiohead song for me. (It helps that the song has a Doctor Who reference)
In their heyday, Oasis had some great B-sides - Acquiesce, The Masterplan. Those tunes could have slid onto the first two Oasis albums and no one would have complained.

Starla. The guitar solo is as heavy as anything out there. Long, distorted, and face melting.

If I recall correctly, Pisces Iscariot was all B sides.

And it’s probably my second favorite album of theirs.

I’ll add Go Slowly to this list. Was on the “from the basement” season from In Rainbows and is just hauntingly beautiful

Seeing them with Weezer in London next weekend, looking forward to that!
