So 11:30am and the line at Popeyes on Staring has already filled the parking lot. So I said screw it and walked over to the convenience store next door and tried KK for the first time.
It was actually good. Like shockingly really good. I m sure the quality depends a lot on who ever is running convenience store.

If Popeyes was run like Chic Fil-A is run, they might take over the world.

right , sometimes if its an Asian mart you may have to question the source of the tenders.

I actually prefer KK tenders over Popeyes, Chick Fil A and Canes. Their bone-in chicken is very good as well.

Problem is in a gas station, they cook a huge arse batch that can sit under the heating lamp for hours and hours.

But you did it right. Catch them from about 10:45-11:30am, they’ll be fresh and top tier of the fast food chicken world.

One just opened in a new gas station in front of Grayson High School near me, I went in today. They were giving out free samples, first I've ever had Krispy Krunchy. It thought it was decent, especially for gas station chicken. I actually clicked over here to start a topic about KK chicken for LA opinions and coincidentally this topic was already created!

Headed to a friend's wedding in New Orleans before Katrina. He told me about a bakery/Krispy Krunchy place near the church. Got a box of chicken and, to the best of my memory, a couple of large "elephant ears" on the drive to the church. The elephant ears were really, really big fried pastry covered with a sugary concoction.

Full catholic ceremony. Brunch on the drive to the church was a good call.

If you like their chicken, you should try their fried fish, it's even better!

I would love it if Chic-Fil-A bought Popeyes, just to see if it’s possible to completely turn around a company’s culture.

I've had it in small towns when it would put Popeyes, KFC, even the Blue store out of business. I've also had it where as soon at you pick a piece, 90% of the batter crumbles off.

Ive been going here lately,
The Size of the Chicken Tenders like 3x the Size of a Single Canes.
They are delicious too. I dont know how they do it. Juicy, Spicy, Flavorful.
I found a new love in life.
A 3 Piece is too much food.
I could be fine with a 1-2 piece the tenders are so large.

But I power through it and get the 3 piece.

It's ok if you don't like Popeye's or Canes but don't act like KK is better. KK is dry even when fresh out of the grease.
