We may have put the final nail in his time at Ole Miss.
Not sure if he wants to keep coaching, could he be helpful?

I don’t think good head coaches hire washed up head coach retreads as assistant coaches. Hard pass

He will pull them out of rehab and the next year they get another coaching gig…

I just read an article that said after the game Jay offered him a bullpen catcher job for next season. TIFWIW.

This is a bad thread, and you should be ashamed.
Mike is trending toward 58ish. He delivered a Nattie. OM will offer him a nice little package to leave gracefully when it's time.

I actually like and respect Mike Bianco. I’m thrilled that if anyone had success at Ole Miss, that it was him….i just think his time there is done.

Think about it. Bianco won a championship in Oxford, MS. Nobody else has accomplished that feat. Ever. In anything.

He's been there long enough to be fully vested in the state retirement system. He can probably retire now with little or no reduction in take home pay.

Except their women’s golf team that won a national championship in 2021

Bianco is going to retire. Honestly he should have after they won their title. They had massive issues already and just happened to go on a run

Mike is a bad arse and foundational Baseball Tiger. He can do whatever he wants.

Word on OM campus is that Bianco will retire after next year because his retirement hits the right age/year. OM coaches are state employees and receive benefits as such.

what successful coach is going to want to retire at 58!? not one. if you can be sucessful, 58 not old.

No idea what OM's plans are. Bianco seems like a class act which separates him from about half of the other SEC HCs.
Aren't Ben and him buddies?

Yes indeed Ben is tight with Bianco.

Correct I believe much like Louisiana State Employees Retirement, Mississippi does pay out a better retirement formula at 25+ years at age 55+. Next season probably will be his last.

wtf are you talking about???!

And they get a cola that is not a cola. They get an automatic 3% cola that is compounded another 3% every year.
