I’m in Nashville and they are loud and splattering all over my vehicle

Do you have them in your area?

Not dealing with any cicadas here. Does that count?

They have come and gone here in east central Georgia. A couple weeks ago they were so loud you could hear them inside watching TV but now not a peep

We have three different species with three different calls at my place in north AL. They were still singing loud right up until the rain showed up about 15 minutes ago.

Locusts are neat as hell, especially those red eyes

It's the once in 13 year cicada outbreak (or once in 17 years). This isn't normal.

They are going crazy here in Murfreesboro. The chirping noise is nonstop outside my window right now and they are everywhere.

I was in SWArky 2 weeks ago and the noise was miles and miles noticeable, even when driving.

Now, I have a bit of backwoods blood in me but my uncle was talking about recipes? Is that freaking normal? Can they be eaten or fixed as a delicacy?

Same. Nashville is being terrorized by these lil shits but my kids are obsessed with catching them.

We need common sense cicada control...

They don’t seem any worse than any other year down here in Baldwin County.
