Biden has to be the worst in US history. He just sounds awful and is terrible at communicating. I would say either Reagan or Obama. Reagan was the best at communicating a message. Obama, love him or hate him you have to admit he did have charisma.

Obama isn’t a great speaker he just has enough confidence to get in front of a crowd.

Trump was awesome as a president talking to the press, attending wh pressers, speaking during covid and all events he was a part of and still rocks it with massive rallies.

Obama for sure. Hated him and his policies, but he was a master orator even when speaking off the cuff.

I disagree. I always felt his tone was condescending. Because it was. Having said that, I could see how other people would like his style. Maybe my beef had more to do with his speech writers talking down to people than Obama's delivery;

Obama is a great speaker and he worked hard at it.

He’s a mixed man who grew up in Hawaii with a white mother and an absent African father yet speaks like a black southern Baptist preacher like MLK. He put a lot of time an effort to developing that facade. As time went on and he was more removed from the inner city of Chicago he lost some of that charm.

The Gipper was #1 Champion Speaker. #2 was JFK.

Bamster was way overrated. REASON:

No one in media or the Uni-party was allowed to lay a glove on him.

It only seemed like he had "charisma" because the obedient Mockingbird Media-Monkeys were ordered to report it.

When a confident Choom-bum Bammy read his teleprompter script, he knew full well he would not be ridiculed OR criticized.

In 93 he was giving a speech to Congress and the teleprompter was loaded with the wrong speech. He ad-lib for 10 minutes before anyone knew. I had a Sheriff in Arkansas tell me that Clinton could meet you one time and remember you next time he met you.

I hated the dude when he was in office but looking back I would take him back in a heartbeat over Joe.

I didn't say he wasn't a smug piece of shite. That has nothing to do with his ability to speak and get his point across. Meanwhile now we have "stuttering Biden" and Trump, who is the poster boy for why teleprompters are needed.

Obama was really good with a pre-written speech - which most people should be but are not. Where he struggled was off the cuff responses - such as in press conferences. That is where he slipped into "umms" and "uhhs". But with a pre-written speech he was one of the best.

People forget that W was great with a pre-written speech as well. The best modern day public speaker was Reagan though and it's really not even close.

Nice job. Perfect score.

I'd add Poppy to the bottom of turrible speakers as well. W was a joke.

He was awful.

Remember when he read the teleprompter as "corpse man" instead of "corpseman"? ...and he used the term "breathalyzer" instead of "rescue inhaler"?

I’ve seen enough instances of Obama speaking without hours and hours of rehearsal and the aid of a teleprompter to know he wasn’t that good of a public speaker.

Reagan was a very good speaker (he should be given his acting back ground). JFK was a good speech maker, there isn’t a lot of footage I’ve seen of him off the cuff to know how he was in a more casual environment.

Trump is a very good public speaker but he rambles some and has a problem with facts (he’s a good bullshitter though).

Clinton, once you got past his southern drawl (fake) was a very good speaker with a ton of fake empathy - again unmoored by facts.

I’d say the best in modern era is probably Reagan.
