I voted for Landry and my Representative, Kim Carver. SB237 is expected to pass with little opposition. What’s your take on this? I thought our MAGA party was all about small government and freedom?
Surprisingly, its President Skelator who’s the only one working to protect our freedoms on this issue -> LINK

You’re obviously getting beat up for your views, but you’re 100% correct. People downvoting you are only doing it because they’re not big fans of pot or CBD/hemp products. I’m really not either, but I’m a fan of personal freedom, and the Republicans voting for this bill should be kicked out of office for expanding their power and reach. Let’s be consistent people. I agree marijuana has been vilified needlessly for decades.
But how it's classified or whether it's legalized or not will never be the reason I vote for or against a candidate. And I have used it off and on for 40 yrs. This country has far greater concerns in 2024.

Sure, let's legislatively take action against a chemical that has killed very few people. Meanwhile government fastracks chemicals with much less research that they want you to inject into your veins because they are scared of a pandemic. GTFO of here with that.

This doesn't mean anarchy. Legalization has not proven to be a positive for society anywhere it has been done. Sometimes adults need to be mature and not let emotional "feel good" wants take over logical decisions.

I used to be for legalization but I’m tired of smelling weed everywhere I go. If I cant have the freedom to enjoy weed-free air and highways free of stoned drivers then frick it, I’ll vote to keep pot illegal.
