Tens of thousands of random people are missing at any time in the United States, I think it's entirely possible to be reasonably intelligent and an active serial killer for an extended period.

Sidenote. Someone finally moved into this guy's house in BR. Has to be a little weird living there
I lived next door to him for a year after I got out of college. I knew he was weird but never figured he was a serial killer. My brother and a buddy shared the house next door. Oddly enough, my brother called the cops on him twice for not cutting his grass. He literally never cut it. It was thigh high with trees and vines and shite everywhere. The cops went to the door of the serial killer twice without knowing who he was.

Bryan Kohberger is a serial killer who was caught after his first crime committed. The modern technology available did him in. I’m not sure he’d have been caught if you take those tools out of the mix. In addition to some mistakes by him.
Wouldn't be shocked if he had done more previously but probably not. For as smart as he thinks he was, he was still a fricking imbecile.
But yeah, 20, 30, 40 years ago, this dude would have been a major killer.

I'm sure the cops loved your Karen brother for this bullshite.

Much harder, but not obsolete. We also have people in this country working hard to cut police budgets, so it's possible that we see a rise sometime in the future.

Pretty sure I know the buddy, as I’d heard indirectly from his mother of that house being used to surveil Gillis before the arrest.

i mean, even the dumbest serial killer would leave their phone at home

That’s possibly correct. I’m assuming he would have killed again had he not be caught.

Well yeah. They’d have to have a reason to start looking at you, but if you say you were home that night and live in a city/suburb it would probably be easy to prove that you weren’t. I know if I leave my driveway I’m going to be on at least 3 cameras.
The 20/20 I believe it was that I just watched. The guy was caught on 3 different business cameras walking down a busy highway. They had to time how long it would take for him to walk from one business to the next to guess when he'd be on the next camera.
And they found the teeth he tried to get rid of in a canal (granted he told them they were there), but its hard too sneak past anything these days.

You have no idea what a dick he is.

Damn but I guess who would have thought. I lived right around the corner from yall deeper in the neighborhood. I still pass by that house pretty much every day because I still live in the neighboring neighborhood. Its still ugly. I figured the new people there would maybe paint it but theyve left it pretty much the same.
They cut the grass somewhat at least

There are most certainly serial killers at large today. The question is—how many?

They never used our house. Maybe across the street. That would have been a better vantage point.

Perhaps some of the serial killers who regularly post here on the OT or PT can describe for us how modern tech has adversely affected their ability to perform their craft.

There are many active SK's, out there right now.

I also feel like the “he must have run away” excuse when the 20th teenage employee goes missing maybe wouldn’t have flown today.
