Hey gang, realistically, when can we expect the major offseason moves we are all speculating to begin?
Also,
What are the Top 3 things in a perfect world you would like to* happen?

1. Trade CJ
2. CJ requests trade
3. CJ retires

3. CJ retires

Yalls hate for CJ is unmatched. I get that he wasn’t clutch but he’s asked to do too much at times. He arguably was the best 3 point shooter in the league this year. And you want that guy who’s on a team that refuses to shoot 3s to leave?

BI needs to go because the fit is off and he isn’t worth $50m/season to us.
Taking a bit of a loss on value isn’t necessarily the issue if what we get back fits much better and plugs holes at point, center, or microwave off the bench.
CJ probably needs to go but that is a salary issue more than play for me. We need some new pieces and a $30m+ salary is needed to match for what we get past whatever BI brings in.
Nance probably goes for the same reasons as CJ.
Past that, I think we have three of five starters locked in along with some key subs.

CJ isn't in the top 5 of our biggest issues.

Exactly. Cj would be someone you trade at a future date if need be.

If detroit's pick lands like #3 I would see if we could trade Ingram for that pick and Duren, then draft Nikola Topic.

Trey can shoot the same amount of 3's in the starting lineup, and he can actually play decent defense. SGA had a hard time against Trey one on one. CJ's defense in that sweep was beyond terrible.
With defense that bad, he needs to score 30+ a night.
I think some of you are underestimating how bad his defense was. They were scoring at will on him, and it wasn't just SGA.
$30M for a guy to just shoot 3's and be terrible on defense? Again, Trey can take that role, and Hawkins can take Trey's bench role. Hell you might as well go trade him for Trae Young. His defense was that bad.

Lineup of Trae-Trey-Herb-Zion-???
Maybe we can get Timelord to have a Trey cubed lineup.

Griffin is going to be searching high and low for BI trades.
The question is will he be willing to:
1) Not be seen as the clear immediate overwhelming winner of the trade; and
2) Will he be willing to "take a step back" with younger talent instead of immediate "star" help

3. Know better than wait until the goddamn deadline trying to get the perfect trade

Whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE BI THE MAX
THATS IT
THATS IT

Not just that, he’s the best shooter on the team
People think just because of his age and bad play in 4 games when he was trying to be the #1 due to Ingram shitting the bed that he’s washed up

Trade BI and CJ for Donavon Mitchell and Struss or Garland or Mitchell and Allen or Mobley.
Add picks where ever needed.
Some one else make the salaries work, of course we'd have to extend Mitchell.

There is no winning a BI trade. That's what most folks are missing. We are going to get lesser talent in return.

If Cleveland trades Mitchell it's because they think he won't resign with them because its been known he wants to go to a big market. You can't trade anything significant for a rental.

This is such a hilariously misguided take. OKC built their entire defense around stopping BI and your #2 came up goose eggs against defenses that were daring him to hurt them. I'm not sure how you people can lose your shite over BI's performance, then defend CJ. CJ was far worse than BI in that series.

Better fit is more important than us than getting the PR win given we have Trey, Herb, and Zion as the core.
I don’t think we need a 2nd “star”, because I see Trey becoming that, but I see us needing pieces that fit better to work better with Zion on the court and function at all when he is unavailable.

What I am thinking happens is we make a move for a Center that fits better in a BI trade, get a bench guard as well, and that is the extent of moves.
