I’m shocked they let him walk without offering to put the proper tires on
Usually they’ll apologize and blame it on the service dept making a mistake and offer to fix it rather than lose a sale

I would go to the state board governing the dealership and file a complaint. Then sue for "loss of time and mental suffering". Then buy from another dealer.

You can file a complaint with the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission. Their office is very convenient to Crown Buick, they are located on Kingman St, a few streets over from Clearview Shopping Center. They have field investigators on staff.

yan Chevrolet back in the 80s stripped out the radio and other stuff for first time buyers progam.
in the mid 70's, Ryan would order all of their cars with no radio. the factory radio was about a $500 upgrade, so they would install what Mac called "mickey mouse radios" that probably cost $20, but they would charge the factory radio price.

Do y'all realize that to sell a vehicle as CPO often requires the dealer to put on new OEM sized tires? Doesn't explain the tonneau cover, but that may be a requirement of GM's CPO program as well.
Not trying to defend car dealers as they are all trash, but this might be something they are required to do by GM.

If that were the case, the dealership should have done that before the car hit the lot. Even if they didn’t, they should be telling the OP those things will happen when negotiating a price.

Pretty much.
If the car had the pictures taken like that and appeared on the lot like that but was different when the truck was to be taken into possession by the buyer, that is massive frickery.
It seems only a few steps below the bait and switch to start National Lampoon’s Vacation where they got him the wrong car and crushed the trade-in into a cube while arguing over the wrong car.

To make matters worse they showed me the date of the work order when they replaced the tires, 3/24/24.
I said that’s impossible, I test drove it a week ago on 4/27.
Serious frickery.

for a 6 year old truck with not that many miles on it. the owner must has sat it in idling alot....wish trucks had hour meters.
no way that seat should be crushed like that.

Yea frick that place. I watched a used Raptor on their lot for about 6 months 2 years ago. It was a base Raptor, no options at all, had some miles and they wanted >70k. The pics were horrible. It's like they didn't even bother cleaning it for the pictures. It sat there for at least 6 months, probably more.

You claiming they put it together from chop shop parts? Or maybe replaced the quality shite with chop shop parts to make a higher profit?

Why is this bad? If they want to have dirty cars, that’s their issue

Ironman tires?
IIRC, they are like the "value line" of the Hercules "value line" of Cooper... now part of Goodyear.
This has become a theme in the last couple of years with used car dealers. They used to put Michelin or other tier one tires on upmarket marques and tier two on most of the rest now I see Mercedes, BMW and Lexus getting names I have never heard of. I would rather them leave the old tires on, drop the price by $300 (what they pay for the crap) and let me put on a real set of tires.

Jeez I don't know. Asking $70,000 for a used truck, having it presentable to potential buyers seems like a damn good idea and just a good philosophy to follow for selling used vehicles. I wonder how many people went to look at it and it looked like a teenager just got back from dirt road riding after prom on the inside. Probably smelled like smoke.
Obviously my hunch has proven true. This dealership sucks arse. There was definitely a reason that a highly desirable truck like a Raptor sat there for a LONG time, just like ole boy in this thread has shown, this dealership sucks arse. GTFO of here with why is it bad if it isn't clean.
