Saw this asked on another dedicated music forum, thought I would toss it out here since there’s a lot of players on this forum, what’s everyone’s strings and picks preferences?
I’ll start:
STRINGS: D’Addario nickel wound 9.5 to 44 on my Tokai Strat; Rotosound pure nickel 12 to 52 on my short scale Rickenbacker; Pyramid flatwound 10 to 42 on my DanElectro 12 electric; Fender 80/20 bronze acoustic 11 to 52 on my 60-year-old Fender Malibu acoustic with a Strat neck; GHS White Bronze 12 to 54 on my Gibson J160E acoustic (because of magnetic pickup); D’Addario phosphor bronze XL 9 to 45 on my Ovation 12-string acoustic; LaBella flatwounds 39 to 96 on my Hofner violin bass.
PICKS: Herco Flex 50 gold (.65 mm) on all guitars; Clayton tiny teardrop 1.0 mm for bass.

DR Pure Blues - 10s on my 25th Anniversary Strat and Epiphone Les Paul Standard. GHS Phosphor Bronze lights on my ‘82 Sigma acoustic.
Picks - keep it simple. Fender medium and thin.

Elixir nanoweb 10's on Epiphone Casino and Player series Tele. I use Elixirs on my Taylor acoustic as well. For picks, Fender 351 mediums most of the time and Dunlop Jazz III occasionally.

Elixir strings, 12s on acoustics 10s on electrics.
Jim Dunlop and Golden Gate thumb picks for fingerpicking, if I'm gonna be using a flat pick (I rarely do), I make my own for that.

Rotosounds. 45-105. They are the best and they aren’t for pussies.
Don’t use a pick a lot, but have started on working on using them more as they sound good on certain songs. Never found one I really like but now using these and they are pretty good

Elixir optiweb 10’s on electrics
Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 12’s on D28
Elixir Nanoweb PB 12’s on my others except
Martin Monel 12’s on all my Mahogany back and side guitars
As far as picks not real picky any good medium will do.

Im all over the place but DR is generally what I like on everything.
Picks are everywhere. I have a problem. Dunlop Primetone are the best overall to me. Always rotating a Fender medium too.

I use Nanoweb 12/53 Elixirs on my Taylor acoustic. On my PRS Custom I use PRS Classic 9-42s. I love orange Dunlop .60 "Flow" picks. Also use Dunlop yellow .73 and have some red GC picks that found their way into my pocket when leaving the store. I don't pick with the pointed portion of a pick but with the side edge. Seems like this topic came up here one time and someone else picked the same way.

Yeah, I think that was me. I do that if I'm using a storebought flat pick.

Straight 9's for strings. Currently attak pick stealth xl are my favorite. They've completely transformed my technique, in some cases to next level stuff that I never seriously thought I'd be able to play ever.
Stealth XL
For a few years I played Petrucci Jazz III's and would go back if acoustik attak ever went away. I recently ordered a bunch of Stealth XL in case.

D'Addario Phosphor Bronze on my acoustics. I like the mediums for my Breedlove that stays tuned to Open G. I also have an old beater acoustic that stays in standard E with lights on it.
As for electrics, I tend to just roll with Ernie Ball Slinky Cobalt. I am actually waiting to pick up my uncle's Squire Strat to keep in Open G, so I'm sure I'll try some heavier strings on it.
