I do wonder if we could be in play for PG in a sign and trade with the Clippers. I have no idea how the salary cap works now, but he could be the alpha we need.
Hes not leaving the clippers to come here. Theres no way I can see him agreeing to this. The only way we’re getting stars here are via draft or trade. No one willingly will come play here unless we start winning big. I mean Kyle Lowry whos not even a star left money on the table with us to sign with the Heat.

which one?
The one that has Zion ranked 33rd, behind people like Franz Wagner and Sengun, and Brandon Miller, and just slightly ahead of BI at 36th in regards to his percieved trade value?
Yeah, i'm sure Orlando could get the same package for Franz that we could for Zion.
I don't give a shite what Bill Simmons has to say, or his buddies. His opinion isn't any better than the people that watch NBA games regularly on this site. It's just his opinion, and he's more interetsed in generating clicks than being honest.

PG will go where he can get a max.

Or another way to put it, same dudes who vote for All Star, of which Allen has been on before.

They did not vote him in. Silver selected him as an injury replacement.
Nonetheless, I've shown evidence of folks who think Allen is better and has more trade value.
Feel free to do the same for Herb...

I honestly think he’s resigning with the clippers. The other teams are just leverage.

At a point he has to be getting fed up at Kawhi.

I dont disagree he has hurt his trade value over the last 15 games of the season, but he's still a much more valuable player than Murray.
BI's value didn't go from a good young player and 3-4 firsts to expiring contracts and 2 lottery protected firsts just b/c of the last 15 games.
The consensus on most of the NBA forums (realgm, r/nba) seems to be that Ingram is worth equal or less than Murray due to the next contract and his lack of impact.
In a vacuum, I think Ingram is worth more than Murray. However, the equation changes for a lot fo teams when Murray is under control for the next 3 years at $79M, while Ingram would likely cost $132.5M over the same time (with 2 more seasons at ~$112M left after that).
The health, shot selection, playstyle, and average defense limits the return for BI, but him being an expiring with max contract demands in the shadow of his post-season performance is rough.
I hope we get to find out his value this offseason and all the naysayers are way off base. My biggest Pels fear is that Griff ends up carrying an expiring Ingram on our roster into next season with the thought that he could be moved at the deadline after rebuilding his value.

You don't value Russillo's opinion on basketball? I guarantee you that he watches more basketball than the vast majority of fans.

I get it, but general managers have admitted to perusing the RealGM trades forum. The criticisms of Ingram are all valid. No one here wants to max Ingram for the same reasons.
You can expand this out to NBA pod/radio hosts and writers too. Ingram is mostly viewed as a lower impact player. Outside of teams that just want to stop losing so badly (Detroit), I cannot imagine many teams are hot to give up a host of assets to max him.

There are 2 kinds of teams that would value Ingram more than Murray, and neither type is focused on money. The near contenders that are already "In for a penny, in for a pound", and the rebuilding teams that are tired of rebuilding and want to accelerate. Fortunately there appear to be multiple of each type currently.

The one you asked for.
Feel free to send the ones you found where Herb is ahead of Allen

Also, you literally asked for exactly that. I showed you exactly what you asked for, then all of a sudden it's not relevant?
Come on now, that's not exactly discussing in good faith.

I’m not saying this is the move I make but I can see griff making it .
Don’t know about lavine knee issues , he had a broken foot this year that kept him out . But the fact that his acquisition cost will be so low and bulls will be motivated to move him is what makes this a griff play .
I don’t see a situation in which we get a better player than Ingram. For all his flaws , he’s a very good player . The contract issue plus missing games that you don’t like about Lavine is essentially the same story with Ingram - Ingram just fits worse with Zion.
I just don’t see a situation in which griff takes steps back in order to get better.
Griff gets a dynamic offensive player and better fit with Zion and how Pels want to play offensively now plus extra assets that he can use in the future or trade immediately to help - it’s the griffin way .
I realize Lavine isn’t going to get anyone excited bc the contract but strictly talent wise and fit wise offensively I’m not sure there is a better player that will be available when it’s all said and done .

BI has added value of flexibility. You can slot him in from the 2-4. For some teams that is incredibly valuable as it can allow them to mix and match a lot of potential rotation and lineups. He's not fixed to a position.

Anfernee Simons is another that I could see as a griff target .
Relatively low acquisition cost and not taking a big step back on court .
Would likely need a 3rd team however bc I don’t see blazers wanting BI in rebuild situation.

I think there are plenty of better options than Lavine. His contract isn’t as bad but its close to Beal territory. And I think this is the issue you’re missing. You’ll be paying Lavine 43, 45 and 48 million in the next 3 years. Frankly, if trading for Lavine is your only option (which I don’t think is the case)-might as well let BI walk and free up cap space. Hes coming off major foot surgery and has had several knee issues. Even BI is not doing that. Plus the Bulls played better without Lavine. If you asks most gms around the league BI is much stronger trade asset than Lavine.
You guys need to stop listening to Macnamara who thinks BI is some terrible asset. He just shits on everything. The pels could trade for Jokic and Antman and the guy would talk about how theres no way Pels get 50 wins. Thats the honest truth.

This to me is the much better move. But you can probably get more than just simons. Maybe brogdon or robert williams as well.
