Russian military personnel have entered an airbase in Niger that is hosting US troops, a senior US defense [sic] official told the Reuters news agency, following a decision by Niger’s military rulers to expel US forces from the country.

Washington built Airbase 201 in central Niger at a cost of more than $100m.

Why would the US not destroy the base before they leave instead of turning it over to the Russians?

We need to leave, then call Russia and give them exactly 2 hours to un-arse that place before we level it.

US Military appropriations.

When we left Spain, the US was building new infrastructure for the simple reason the money had long been allocated.

One would think the US would just cancel the projects in advance, but nope, they still build them and simply turn over the keys when they leave.

Russia has permission. We do not.

Russia also has permission to be in Syria. We do not.

Niger, sight of that disgusting and embarrassing display by the Pentagon in 2017.

When Russia left Afghanistan they mined the Kandahar airfield. We leave chocolate on the pillows.

We should never have been there in the first place.

This has been telegraphed for a while and under semi-competent leadership all sensitive items would have been destroyed in place by now.

Which means with this admin they are nearly stacked waiting the Russian take over.

Real question is why were we there and why do we have over 700 other foreign bases.

Anthony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, Jake Sullivan, John Kirby. these clowns are running our foreign policy and are responsible for the US losing its sphere of influence around the globe.

even their boss Joe Biden is disparaging potential allies against China. blasting Japan and India for xenophobia. this isn't the 90s anymore, we can't just bomb and sanction countries into submission.

You can see the theater playing out very clearly.

Remember when we left billions of dollars worth of modern armaments and milspec gear behind in Afghanistan for the Taliban to waltz in and claim for themselves? Good times.

Forget Iran. The USA is the largest terror-sponsoring state on the planet, and there's not even a close #2.

It's sad when you have this epiphany and accept it, but it's also quite liberating to the mind to fully understand how corrupt we have become instead of just wondering.

Lol. Niger sticking it up Biden and Blinken's arse. What a weak, feminized leadership.
