What an idiot. One of the easiest frauds to corroborate. Must have been sweating bullets when that audit happened.

I know Walker is a big school but submitting 29k in invoices didn’t peak some interest somewhere?

I’m guessing it eventually did raise alarms. That’s why they conducted an inventory of their equipment at the end of the season.

They rubber stamped $30K worth of new equipment, but questions weren’t asked until they completed their season with the same equipment they were using last year.

I guess receiving as part of the accounting process hasn't quite made it to Walker yet.

One’s interest is piqued, not peaked.

Let's withhold judgement. I had something similar happen to me. I was raising money to build a new Little League field. I had five gallon buckets in businesses all around town.

Well, the DA had it in for me cause I had a shady past, and she knew I was in witness protection. She arrested me for fraud, alleging that I had no intent of building the baseball field, and indicted me under my real name. She knew that would alert my east coast mafia connections to my location. Two hitmen show up at my arraignment, but luckily my FBI handler, and hot red head cop girlfriend were able to get me out the courtroom. I hop in my girlfriends truck, lead the hitmen on a car chase around town, which ends at the construction site of ... THE LITTLE LEAGUE field I was building,

I'm guessing the coach really did buy the equipment, but is hiding it because he didnt want to ruin the surprise for the team.

Dunno if he is guilty or not

But I can tell you that reimbursing equipment for 29K has to, or should, violate just about every school district policy / good accounting policy there is.

Purchases of any significant size should be handled by the school or school district, purchase orders, etc.

Someone besides this coach needs to answer some questions.

He’s a young guy with a small child. The pictures on social media appear to show a family man.

I’m am sure a pitching machine, batting cage netting, and maybe specialty field maintenance items could add up in a hurry.

Noticed I was friends with him on Facebook. Saw his account was active, refreshed saw account was active then noticed his account wasn't there. Either purged everyone not close to him or deleted his account.

All in all he's an idiot. I feel bad for his wife and kids.
