No way that AD comes back here, but if Lebron leaves, it does make sense to get in on this trade. The Lakers will be reluctant to trade AD and fully tank without their pick, but if they have a way to get assets back for AD + their own pick, then we have a lot of leverage here. I'm not familiar enough with the NBA trade landscape to throw out trade ideas, but Lebron leaving/retiring would be phenomenal for the Pels.

would think Ingram would be offered.
The pels aren't trading Ingram. Griffin isn't dealing him and admitting he lost the trade

Unless he plans on offering him $40-50m a season the next few years, he needs to kick the tires on a trade.
Getting back something that helps us beats spending 9 figures on a guy who doesn’t seem to be cutting it for us.

Given their current roster, their players under contract excluding LeBron and AD would be -
Deangelo Russell - $18m PO
Rui - $17m
Reaves - $13m
Gabe Vincent - $11m
Vanderbilt - $11m
Christian Wood - $4m
And a mix of failed prospects like Jax, Cam Reddish, etc.
If LeBron bolts and Russell opts out, that is a whole lot of nothing beside AD.

Shamit loves doing this, and pretending like things with a .5% chance of happening are possible, so then when people reply how dumb it is, he will double down about how much smarter he is than everyone else.
Last year it was his obsession with getting KD, and everyone was stupid for thinking it’s not worth trying.

Move ad to Miami, move bam to us.

When I originally read this, I thought you were talking about the Shams Charizard dude.
I looked at it again and I realized it was just a nobody casual.

I don’t know who Shamit is but judging by this idea, he’s very stupid

quote:Then they would want to get more younger assets instead of BI
I mean you could just tank. You don’t have to sign BI to a big deal
BI will 100% be traded as an asset, so why would the Lakers trade for a 1 year rental instead of a younger, more king term crop of dudes?

They get their own 2025 back in a deep draft

i doubt it’s remotely possible, but we could use a committed player with his skills…

I’m surprised Shamit isn’t on a campus right now protesting Zionists and demanding vegan options be brought to them

Like most of Shammit's dribble, this would be a hard no. AD was looking for a come up and gave a big frick you as a parting gift and he wants to get back together ..... talk about a lack of self-respect, there's more fish in the sea baby.

id like AD for what he would bring. but its never happening and would be very awkward

Have you not learned anything from the past?

Yes.
Throwing a ton of money at Eric Gordon, Omer Asik, and others who weren’t a good fit either on the court or attitude wise fricked is.
If BI isn’t going to be worth 50+m a year the next several years, we need to know what our options are rather than lock us into what we already have and cost us Trey in the process.
