How far superior is Mt. Carmel to Chapelle? Daughter leaning Chapelle but I want her to go to MC. Have heard Chapelle has been trending in a good direction the last couple years though so that’s good.

1962 apparently

It’s superior.
But not by a whole lot.

This thread will be good.

Both good schools. Chapelle has been making good strides i have heard in the last few years. Mt Carmel has always been a good school.
Mt Carmel is a big school, not a lot of individual help from teachers and admin takes days to respond to simple questions, if they respond at all. Kind of sink or swim in my opinion.
Chapelle is much more hands on with kids and admin answers questions very quickly. From what I've seen they are very proactive with issues/grades where Mt Carmel is very reactive.

There will be a lot more competition at Mt. Carmel, both academically and athletically. If your daughter thrives off competition and needs to be driven by her peers, I'd send her to Mt. Carmel over Chapelle. If that would stress her out too much or she'd do better at a smaller school, then maybe Chapelle is a good fit. But honestly, for a smaller Catholic all girls school I'd look at Ursuline or Cabrini before Chapelle.

Chapelle has upgraded their facilities a ton. I’ve got two girls likely headed there and I was very anti chapelle.
After seeing the facilities and the directives, I’m on board

I thought Mt. Carmel was torched by the FBI

You think that’s unique to whatever crappy high school you went to?

This is very much correct.

There’s whores at every school

Ursuline
Massively declined in quality and attendance. Last year their enrollment was staggeringly low

First, disclaimer: I sent 2 daughters to Chapelle.
I would suggest that you let your daughter lead on this. Please don't steer her to a specific school for your reasons...it's her choice. If she's more comfortable at one school over the other, listen.
MCA & Chapelle are both great schools, you won't go wrong with either choice. But this crap that one is superior to the other chaps my arse. Does anyone think that MCA is teaching some "superior" curriculum that Chapelle doesn't know about?
Both of my girls have been on the Dean's List @ LSU for several semesters, I'd say they got a solid education at Chapelle.
Good Luck, Bro.

From the title I was expecting a story about a comedian vs a small baptist church

The Mt. Carmel brown plaid skirts were always sexier than the Chapelle green plaid. The Cabrini girls were sexiest of all.
That's what you wanted to know, right? Which school had the sexiest girls back in high school?
