Going to Houston this weekend for the Stones concert . Staying in medical center area at the Westin. Figured we could ride the rail to and from the show.
We are from the area but haven't lived there in 8 years. Any new restaurants we should give a try? We have a picky 11 year old coming with us. We will have a car.
Thanks

Close by-Candente for Tex-Mex, Clark's for seafood, The Pit Room of course for BBQ
Little further out-Little Rey also for Tex-Mex/Tacos, Loro-BBQ with an Asian twist and the world's best chocolate chip cookie
What does your kid typically eat?

If you want to try Cuban food try Buena Vista. On the weekend they will have live music.
Cuban food is pretty neutral flavor nothing too crazy or spicy so I think the kid may enjoy.

I like blood brothers in Bellaire for BBQ.
It’s fusion of Texas bbq + rotating Asian options.

Candente and Pit Room are solid choices.
Saw that the Pit Room is opening a second location on the west side. Same strip mall as Jason’s Deli and Club Champion 10301 Katy Freeway.
Also, to the original poster, for a quick lunch try Dak & Bop, it’s a Korean type of food with good wings. Its close to the medical center.

This chocolate chip cookie statement is 100% accurate. I was pisses when they told me they got the dough from Austin. I wanted to get some in bulk.

Don’t over complicate it. Just go to El Tiempo.

Last couple of times I went to el tiempo the fajitas were bad. Tasted like the beef was marinated in hot dog water.

Agree with El Tiempo - just pace yourself on the Ritas or you will not make the concert.

You must have went to Los Tiempo. And don’t go to a franchise version. Richmond, Gessner are always tip top.
