Let me guess. The wife is gonna say, "We just grew apart."

I was more just thinking about how fricking much it would suck to get divorced with kids.
It sucks, but you just put aside your differences and make it work for their sake. My kids' mother is a certified crazy woman, but I never talk about her in front of the kids. We have a 50/50 custody agreement with no child support either way.

When his wife brought home a hotel chair that should have been the first warning sign.

The data says -
When marriages end, its the WOMAN leaving 70-80% of the time.
It's getting harder and harder for us men these days.

Mine were 2.5 years old and 9 months old when my soon-to-be ex-wife told me she wanted a divorce. First few months were pretty damn tough. Fortunately my mom and aunts have been there to help me and my kids. It’s gotten much easier/better. Obviously it’s still challenging at times, but it really is awesome getting to spend so much quality time with my kids. I’m also grateful that my kids get so much quality time with their grandmother too.
Adapt, improvise, and overcome. Have to be strong and be there for the kids. There is no greater honor and responsibility than that. It’s my duty and failure is not an option.
Here’s to the other single dads out there. Keep up the good work for your kids’ sake.

Ole baw has two young children. One is around 4 the other is 6 mos old maybe.
Been there, done that, except they were closer and younger. 18 months and a month.
Hard times and almost broke me. Had some dark dark nights where I wanted to call it quits. They got me through. And they've been getting me through life. So happy I wasn't weak enough to believe the big lie.
It does get better. So much better. You just have to stick around to see it. Those kids need you, so damn much.

It happens. And no matter how much one spouse is against divorce or doesn't want divorce, it doesn't matter.
If a spouse wants to break up the home, the home will be broken.

Very few women with an infant want to be on their own. Ole baw 's soon to be ex wife has probably already got a new meal ticket.

Mrs. Tantal has terminal cancer and isn't likely to last too much longer. Once she's gone, I'll probably be 51, at most. Plenty of time left to start over, but I won't for two reasons. #1-Once you're used to driving a Ferrari, it would be hard to slide into a clapped-out old Dodge. #2-I'm in an excellent financial position now and refuse to risk it.

Was the wife with jody or was she “just not happy anymore?”
Probably postpartum, paired with a lack of communication and failure to realize it.
I'm not saying my wife and I were close to divorce, but there was definitely some trouble brewing after our second child. I am very grateful that I have a wife that was very receptive to the idea that she was acting out on feelings that were not normally hers and to get on some medicine and speak about her feelings.
I firmly believe the term "7 year itch" isn't really about the length of the marriage, but more about the transition of going from a couple to parents and the stress that change has on both husband and wife. It has ruined many weaker marriages.

56 % of marriages end in divorce. That is the ones that end in divorce. What percentage stay together for the kids? Or stay together because they don’t want to give away half their shite? Another 10 % - that is conservative. Let’s say 20 %. You now have a “technology” that fails nearly 76 % of the time. That is insane. That’s more likely than not. If I told you there was 76 % chance that when you go outside you’re going to get hit with a bowling ball, you would not go out, or you would wear a helmet. But people just continue to get married and there is a presumption that you should get married, and if you don’t get married, “What is wrong with you?”
