I, for one, welcome the continued surveillance of our government overlords -

Last Minute Deal To Extend FISA 702

quote:

After its midnight deadline, the Senate voted early Saturday to reauthorize a key U.S. surveillance law

I’m sure this will get cleared up -

quote:

In the past year, U.S. officials have revealed a series of abuses and mistakes by FBI analysts in improperly querying the intelligence repository for information about Americans

Personally, I see no problem with this. If you aren't doing anything wrong by today's standards (or standards that are put in place in the future that make today's actions "problematic"), then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. And if you are... then good... you need to be spied on in secret.

I mean... let's be honest... the only reason Donald Trump had a problem with this is he decided to upset the status quo. Don't upset the status quo. It's the status quo for a reason... it's what people far brighter then ourselves think is good for us, there it must be, right?

Get with the program, guys!

The vote of 60-34 sends the bill to President Joe Biden, who has championed it. The legislation extends Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, for two more years.

If I was paranoid and cynically suspicious, I’d probably be concerned.

That swamper Katie Britt voted for it.

Alabama needs to get rid of her.
