She also gets a signature shoe which I’m sure will lead to even more $$$
So will this shut people up about her small salary in the WNBA?

It was always known she would make a ton more $$ through endorsements. WNBA salary is just peanuts for her.
Just a decade ago such a mega contract for a WNBA/ wbb star was pretty much unthinkable. College WBB has truly arrived and WNBA should be thanking the schools for the eyeballs they are getting only because these incoming players.

People have been saying the whole time women’s basketball players would make money when they generate money. Caitlin Clark generates revenue, hence she makes a lot of money.
I for one am glad that a woman is moving the needle of interest based on her playing ability rather than either out of charity or solely her appearance.

Who is the market for basketball shoes? Young black men….man they’re not gonna buy this stuff. It’s a virtue signal deal…not that different than the one they did for kaepernick.
Nike will lose money on this but they don’t care

Are people still going to care about Clark now that she’s playing for the Indiana Fever?

I think it's time we address ice cube for being full of shite about his offer.

Still want move the needle on the WNBA. No, people are not going to shut up on how horrible the WNBA is either. Hell one of their most "prolific" players in league history went on record saying men should be able to play women's sports.

I’ve been saying all along her income would stay the same or get larger… she won’t even recognize her salary with all the deals she has coming her way. Plus a ton of young girls will flock to buy her shoes… more $$$ still to come.

Good for her.
Get your money while you can.

The rest of the WNBA prison tatted bitches are gonna treat her like fresh fish walking into Shawshank.
Nothing on earth more petty and mean than a jealous woman.

Caitlyn Clark needs to watch out for Sabrina Ionescu trying to Tonya Harding her for stepping in on her Nike shoe deal.

How long before the talk starts that she’s only getting it because she is white?

I'm sure there's more to follow.
There aren't many that can top Nike, but Lume sure does need a new spokesperson.

Read three pgs of replies.
Not one mention of Chinese child labor for profit.
For shame TD.

Good for her.
She needed to cash in on her fame in the next 2-3 years. After that she’s going to be an afterthought playing in a league that no one cares about.

She is way more marketable than the WNBA itself.
so it makes sense that she is going to be drawing more from endorsements than salary.
If she can bring the same eyeballs in the pros she did in college then she will change the game.

Good for Clark.
However, despite talk of growth in terms of percentage, the WNBA isn’t widely watched. I think automatic assumptions that Clark will bring a ton of new, sustainable viewership could be wrong.
This wouldn’t be the first Nike contract given to an athlete/personailty.
