My snek luck hasn’t run out yet

So last month, as many of y’all know, I came to Florida and got a scarlet kingsnake, a southern hognose, and a couple scarlet snakes - not only lifers, but snakes I’ve dreamed of catching since childhood.
No way I could top that, right?
Then I return to Florida and on Monday I get an Eastern coral snake! Surpassing my favorite lifetime catch - the scarlet kingsnake - the coral is what the scarlet king wishes he could be…a candy cane with the potency to kill 5 men! By far my new favorite catch.
So now there’s absolutely NO possible way I could top that, right?
Welp…tonight it was a bit of a struggle, but I found a way.

Didn't those things get down there because weirdo snake people had them as pets and kept losing them? Did you help their ecosystem by lopping off its head? Regardless, congrats on the herp.

The rare Florida anaconda
Florida people fricked that one up real good so let's just leave them there too

The rare and elusive GDKC.
Aren't you supposed to not release or kill those ?

There is something funny about docile snakes. They’re totally OK with someone grabbing them by the neck and they’re just like
“yeah I hope you let me go soon.”

Now you just need a 6 foot plus eastern diamondback.

Targeting those today. Went to the hot spot for them a couple days ago - giving it another shot.

Is there one snake that you will not catch?

Totally respect your fascination of catching and documenting serpentine creatures. Based on the current situation with pythons in FLA, I'm guessing you took that one out of the gene pool, against your internal judgement. Pretty sure that was a Burmese python ... 8 - 9 feet in length ?

Stumbled on one of these under my patio one night. It was a rare treat.

Try St. Vincent’s Island near Apalachicola. No way you’ll fail to find one.

I remember back in the 60's paddling up and down the bayou catching diamondbacks 6' plus as thick as that or thicker. That rascal you have there will find it's way to the Louisiana bayou in the next 20 years for sure. It will run off the big Diamondbacks, maybe even eat them into non-existence.

How far south were you this time? I'm hoping at least 200-250 miles south of that coral
