Really neat little motorhome IMO.. If you live in Asia (which i plan to do in a few years) you can pick one up for around $40k usd.. I absolutely LOVE that it has a manual transmission, but ive always thought it’d be really hard to learn how to drive stick shift with my left hand .. Thoughts ?

I think it would become second-nature pretty quickly.

It literally says in the title of the video “2024 Toyota Hilux Motorhome” ..

General consensus in the comments is that it wont be offered in USA due to American greed, and the fact that dealers would want to ask closer to $100k and they know they probably wouldnt get that much for it.. god forbid they offer something economical .

If they sold it at $40k they could never manufacture them fast enough.

Nope. Doesn't pass emissions

I drove a manual in Ireland recently. It was harder to get used to the left side of the road than the shifting.

With the manual transmission, a thief would need to be over 40 years old to drive it away.
I think I like it.

I agree, but interestingly the vehicle in the video also has a tag on it that says “Hilux Champ.”
I agree, though, it’s not a Hilux.

Piece of cake. After about 15 minutes you will think you have been doing it that way your whole life

My grandmother was left handed and she never got the hang of manual transmissions, but I think there was more there than just the weaker hand issue.
I wish I had a stick to drive now. But back in the day, I was so use to the clutch and gearshift that I didn't even think about it, really.

Not until after hitting a couple of curbs leaving an airport rental facility in Dublin, but yeah it doesn’t take TOO long to get the hang of it, at least in my personal experience.

Think of how many Vietnamese girls you could traffic in this thing

4x4 and extended cab w better crawl through and I’m in. Rear awning. I’d pay an extra $20k for that.

Why do vehicles today look like the style was based off military ops.
