They shot and killed the attacker. Now we’ll never know his motive unless he left a manifesto. If he left a manifesto, 2 or 3 people in law enforcement will know the motive and the document will never be made public.

I can’t understand why the men were all running,chickensh*t frickers.A group of them surround the guy with the knife,use something like that backpack guy was running with,they could’ve disarmed him.
When I was on Shore Patrol ,USN a guy pulled a knife on me and wouldn’t drop it.I broke his hand with my night stick.
Second guy pulled a straight razor and trying to slash me,I didn’t have a night stick because I was on a plainclothes job.I grabbed his wrist,twisted his arm behind his back until he screamed and dropped it.
I was a lot younger and my reflexes were faster.
I’m old now,but I would still find something to fight back with.
