I think if you polled all professional golfers, you wouldn't find one that would say (and truly believe IMO) that the Masters is overrated.

Fans will be fans. You will find contrarian fans at every level, every sport, every team, etc...

That just means everyone there had to play decent golf at some point to qualify.

Except for the 70yr olds that are Masters champions

I'd RA to have this thread deleted. You look like a complete buffoon

It is not is just affordable and the course is awesome

every single person there is in a good mood. No phones. Beers are dirt cheap but even drunk like myself stay in line. Everyone is there to have a good time. There is something special about being at place when everyone is on the same page.

It being on the same course has allowed for a century of knowledge on how to run a tournament. Everything is done so well. Lines move. It is not hard to find a place to sit.

You take a dump in the morning and someone is cleaning the toilet by the time you flush.

The people saying it is overrated are just virgins that think sex is overrated cause girls won't look their way.

There are two courses, one in Dallas and one in Houston, called Tour 18. They replicate famous holes from famous golf courses, the Church Pews at Oakmont, #18 at Harbour Town, TPC Sawgrass #17 to name a few. Each course has a few of the same and a few different from each other. Each course has Amen Corner at Augusta National, # 11,12 and 13. They both have #17 at Sawgrass as well. I've played both and they are pretty fun, they cost around $100 per round so not too expensive. There is also one in Dallas called the Tribute, copied holes from famous British Open Championship courses, cost about the same and was just as fun.

I’ve seen the holes. It’s a neat concept but far from an exact replica of the holes they emulate. Recreating a golf course is nearly impossible

I think the total opposite. The Masters is criminally underrated.

It is the best event is all of sports every year.

I've always wondered if there was some money to be made by creating a near exact replica of Augusta National and charging people an arm and leg to play it. Part of the mystique of that course is the exclusivity.

There is a golf course in Myrtle Beach that replicated 18 of the most iconic holes in golf called World Tour Golf Links. I played there years ago on a golf trip with some friends, and it was a pretty cool concept and I enjoyed it, but the traffic that went through the course due to the popularity, really beat the course up. It wasn't worth what we paid to play, but fun none-the-less.

I read somewhere that the sand isn't actually sand, it's crushed up crystals. That's what makes it so different and bright.

It should be a VERY short discussion.

No. End of discussion.

Sorry you are too poor and trashy to get to go to the masters.

Not everyone. Lots of people prefer the difficulty of the US Open or The (British) Open.

Just getting back home from my first practice round. Definitely lives up to the hype and should be a bucket list for any sports fans. (Even if you aren’t really into golf)

Be honest, are you going to watch The Masters this weekend? What about your office buddies?

If the majority of you are, then that kind of flies in the face of your argument.

Again, I really hope you are honest with the question and don't just give an auto-no to backup your side of the debate.

It’s underrated as one of my favorite Saturday afternoon naps for the entire year.

I’ll watch on Sunday if there are big names in contention.
