Pretty safe bet it'll be the murder capital this year.
Will there be anyone left to kill by the end of the year?

Will be murder capital of US
Just keep it above state line road. I live in Hernando Ms just across state line. Good community and safe. Good mayor and city council. We have a great young African American sheriff.
I feel for the law abiding citizens of Memphis. I was told that the city DA is funded by Soros, I hope I am wrong. When I have to go up in Memphis I am carrying. I do not allow my wife to go up there. I have heard that area around Graceland is better. Graceland is a lot of tax money for city. I hope it gets better for the good people of Memphis

My brother just retired and moved back from Horn Lake. He speaks very highly of the sheriff as well.

I am beginning to think that this allowance of massive numbers of murders in multiple cities is purposeful, as a small number of bad guys cause most all the problems over and over in a given community, and they are taking each other out, saving the rest of us the problem of prosecuting them in a world that just lets them off the hook to do it again....

Sadly, you are not.

It is.
Memphis is safe so long as you know where and where not to go. I live out in Germantown, and take Sam Cooper to Parkway to Danny Thomas to work... and back home. Do not stop. At night and on weekends we stick strictly to extreme East Memphis/Germantown/Collierville/Arlington/Piperton etc; or venture down to Southaven/Olive Branch/Hernando.
Except of the Grizzlies/Tigers games... and those are safe as well.
Murder rate is high... but look who is killing whom. It's not like random whites are being gunned down in East Memphis. Although that has happened as well, but it is generally... gang members killing other gang members. And quite frankly, the more of them dead, the better. They can all kill each other as far as I'm concerned.

Police officials placed part of the blame for the increase in violence over the past few years on state laws that have loosened gun restrictions, allowing guns to be stored in cars, which in turn leads to more guns being stolen and more homicides, MPD officials told city council members.
“We have a state legislative problem with these guns,” Councilwoman Yolanda Cooper-Sutton said. “State legislators hate us here in Memphis, Tennessee, and they hate black folks in Memphis, Tennessee, and that’s just point blank. Because it’s us that’s killing each other.”
The idiots running the show blame guns and racism, they will never talk about the culture their policies helped create.

She's an idiot. But law enforcement and government in Memphis do NOT like the new concealed carry law in Tennessee. At all. You know.... because before the law, all the gang bangers and riff raff were having to wait until they got their gun permits in the mail before shooting people.
Although, I guess to her it does seem that way. For instance, the Memphis City Council passed an ordinance outlawing pretextual stops for the Police. State legislature said... Nope, you can't do that. It's dumb. Enjoy your new law. So now Pretextual stops are legal and laws outlawing them are illegal.

Don’t underestimate the will of the Louisiana people. We can stand together and work towards this honor. It’s on you Baton Rouge or New Orleans. Let’s see that spirit.
