Went out to our parking garage to take a gander. The temperature felt like it had dropped 20 degrees. It was actually cold.

Yes. And the heaviest rain should clear fairly quickly.

Tornado just hit Slidell my parents live in Turtle Creek serious damage. Still can't get hold of my Dad.

Finally got ahold of my Dad who said "I think I just sat through a tornado"

Whew. Saying some extra prayers at church this weekend!

Good luck man,,,,WWL Radio is reporting that 2 tornados touched down in Slidell and now there's a huge cell just sitting over the metro area and not moving.

If you haven't already, try texting. Towers may be damaged or jammed up with people trying to call at the same time. I hope he's okay!

Since this morning Metairie has had about 3 different heavy downpours.. Still have power but there is widespread outages across the GNO area.
