Checked if the policy has a lifetime limit?

With everything you know of and everything going very good it’s going to push whatever limits are there. Better to know now so you can plan ahead for that too.

Also don’t be surprised by side benefits that come and go. I got 2 weeks of microwaveable frozen meals after a hospital admission last summer. Just the one time though and I literally was hospitalized off and on almost half of 2023.(the meals came in handy as it took about a week to feel like even getting the mail from the end of the driveway.). It caused me to check the benefits and it had appeared after my usual 1st of the year review but when no more meals after other admits checked again and it was gone.

Best wishes for you and everyone in your world. Always remember you have people you can count on here (one way or the other, it’s the OT after all )

So I'm still in the hospital. On day 9.
They keep coming up with new problems. Now my oxygen levels are low.

I've done 7 dialysis treatments. Then I start at the clinic next week.

It's not that bad. But I hope to get a transplant before the end of the year.

Could be worse. Dad and I can only take oxygen with a mask. The nasal cannula causes the tissues to swell, dry, and then crack and bleed filling the sinuses. For 2 weeks after we blow clots out the nose.

As you know all too well by now, hospitals are not a place to get rest. You are probably getting “rounds” every 4 hours with meals at 7,12, and 4:30 along with 3-4 doctors. That’s not much time in between interruptions especially if given meds that cause drowsiness. Melatonin, especially at night, can help with getting to sleep faster.

Hope you have some good caregivers. They can make the difference between a decent stay and a good stay. Also take advantage of the ala carte menu at this point. Order what you want rather than the same carrots and mashed potatoes every meal except breakfast (avoid the turrible turkey sausage too).

Napoleon, discovering out of the blue you’ve acquired a serious chronic health condition is a real kick in the arse. Reading this thread, it seems to me you have a positive attitude going forward, which helps immensely.

I don’t know anything about your condition to offer advice, others have that covered. Just wanted to let you know I admire your willingness here to help others. A lot and always useful.

I will be thinking of you and praying for the best possible future outcome.

Take care, you got this.

So the kidney issue has been treated with dialysis. My blood pressure has been very good. Best I've ever had.
But I have developed a staph infection and a blood bacteria. On top of that I got pneumonia.

So I have new issues that need solving.
On heavy antibiotic drip and oxygen.
Waiting on results from a biopsy and hoping this blotch on my leg can be figured out. A painful wound just appeared.
