Some things I've noticed throughout these practice/scrimmage vids. Just my 2 cents.

First team offense looks good. And honestly, you could toss in a lot of guys from 2nd team at the skill positions and I don't think you miss a beat. Kaleb, CJ, Zavion, Markway etc.

Offensive line looks like they're feasting and DJ Chester is young but clearly ready for the role.

Swan does not look like a viable option as QB2. The good news is, Rickie has looked good.

Shone Washington is definitely not the addition I was hoping for at DT. Multiple plays of him not being able to even stay on his feet. Looks sloppy.

Receiving core looks really strong. Even the guys running with the 2s could be swapped in with the 1s and I still think it's a strong unit.

Kyle Parker seems to be sneaking his way into the mix at the slot and could potentially beat out AA for it.

PJ Woodland is impressive considering he should be in HS right now. Still hoping we have some older guys step up and it's not Woodland and Stamps as the starting corners.

Pimpton has been a let down. Had really high hopes for him but he's still running 3rd team and looks a little lost out there.

Christian Stamps might be the worst offensive lineman I've ever seen. Sorry to pick on this kid but if you go watch any reps with the 2nd team, it's bad.

Not sure the last point is necessary given the kid was a walk on

Worst thing to hear. Still have a summer to get him in shape but man that position is bad

Christian Stamps - know that once fall hits there will be about 12 OL ahead of him based on names I can think of. If his ability is a concern, we’re good.

Guillory looks like he is gonna take a big step this season. Gonna need a leader there and looks like he is gonna be that guy.

This are some pretty strong takeaways for very limited coverage/drills. You are basically taking some things coaches have said and then just throwing stuff at a wall and hoping it sticks

So basically if we can stop somebody this season, we have a shot

Y’all should be very careful what you’re assuming based off of short clips.

You have no way of knowing this

Yeah, I thought the coaches overhyped Washington out of the portal. I don't remember him getting impressive offers really. That is one reason I expected Paris Shand to be moved inside permanently which is starting. S Jones will end up there also.

And since LSU is clearly over the limit of 85 for the fall in scholarships, I have always had 1 TE leaving. Obviously, there are 2 guys above the other two there. So IMO, either Pimpton or Gilbreath hit the portal. Even as TE obsessed as Kelly is, you don't need 4 TEs especially with the WR room you have.

You came to all those conclusions from like 5 minutes worth of practice footage?

This is so disappointing. We may need to take 3-4 transfer DTs. I’m going to be furious if this and CB are what prevent a title run

Stamps was getting some praise I thought for that pancake double team on Shone. He’s a walk on too.

Isn’t this Pimpton’s 2nd year? He’s not a prototype TE. He’s a match up guy that you split out and utilize his length and speed. Unless he bulked up significantly he’s not an every down TE in BK’s offense right now. That doesn’t mean he isn’t going to get more snaps this year or that he’s a bust at this point.

Interior DL is going to be this team's downfall this year. It's going to be ugly.

That Harvard center was the worst player I've ever seen start at LSU.

DJC hasn't made a single Line Call in an SEC game.

Just because he's bigger and stronger than Turner doesn't mean he's "Clearly Ready."

Offense has no excuses when it comes to being productive. We’re blessed.

Defense just needs to be competent/consistent and we will do very well.

I follow many local guys and nobody has anything to say good about Swann in these practices. Nothing really bad either, but it's like Collins has him neat early on. Will that be the same in the Fall? Who knows.

He's literally a redshirt freshman man, chill. First he needs to grow into it, secondly, of course he's third string. Markway is more technically sound and is our best blocker right now. Taylor is our best TE all around, and best receiver at TE right now. Pimp is still developing. I don't expect much from him. Trey'Dez Green and Pimp will be relied on heavily in 2025 when we lose another 3 WRs.
