With the help of Reese & LSU dating back to last year.

It started last year with LSU and Iowa. LSU wasn’t supposed to be there and win it in Mulkey’s second year. It was a shock. It skyrocketed from there.

Quality of play has gone up a lot last 10 years

Soon she’ll be off to the WNBA, never to be heard from again. Nothing and no one is going to make that league popular.

Not really. It's still not a good product to watch.

Heroes need a villain and LSU filled that role perfectly. That's going to be gone next year

Angel Reese is a victim now... of Caitlin Clark!

As a fan of damn near every sport, I strongly disagree. Women’s basketball is a snooze fest of boring crap. Would rather watch paint dry.

Apollo Creed had some insightful words about sporting event promotion in the original Rocky. He said, “Without a ranked contender, what this fight needs is a novelty.” So he picked a local club fighter of Italian heritage with a catchy nickname in an attempt to arouse interest.
Clark and Reece have given women’s basketball (which no one generally gives a frick about) a little bit of novelty due to their conflicts, personalities, appearances. And let’s be real, while Clark isn’t a supermodel, she is a cute girl-next-door type and not really who you would expect to be breaking scoring records.
But once they move on and it’s back to ten anonymous college girls out there playing below the rim, no one is going to care anymore unless one of them is a hot TikTok star.

No one outside of Gonzales knew who Reese was last year before she did her troll job in Clark. LSU won the title with Reese on the bench in the second quarter last year when their bench went like 9-10 from three. Once Reese pointed to her finger she became a household name for all the wrong reasons.
