It makes you wonder how "bad" racism really is if you look at it with a detached, non judgemental point of view
Racism isn't a binary choice, it's a spectrum of degrees. Are the Japanese racist in that they have pre-conceived notions about some others based solely on their race? Yes. Are they torturing and killing them because of those notions? No.
The Left has bastardized the term "racism" and "racist" to the point where the mere mention of it implies the committing of abuse and violence against others (or, at least, the desire to do so). They then throw the term out in an attempt to shut down any discourse they don't agree with (thus, something like mentioning the massive disparity in committing homicides by race in the US is blasted as being "racist" by Leftists as a default stance).

Is someone going to tell him the reason? Our cities don't have to be sh*tholes
The reason is from a very early age Japanese are taught respect and care for others and their society.
I know you are getting at a whiter America would get closer to this but it just wouldn’t. Americans are selfish and self centered and taught to be this way at a very early age. Our citizens don’t give a shite about others as long as “they get theirs”. This is the exact opposite of Japanese culture.
Our leaders don’t care about solving problems because they would rather stuff their own pockets.
In Japanese culture bring shame to your family is one of the worst things that can happen to the point where suicide is a honorable end for bringing this shame. In America bringing shame to your family is an opportunity to go viral for clicks and attention.

Sweden and Norway are very clean and orderly too. I think the country name must have either six or seven letters, then it will be clean and orderly. We should rename our country.

I watch Japanese TV and movies and I see what America used to value:
Encouraging excellence and education in young people.
Honor and decency in treating with others.
Respect and care for elderly.
Innovation and working as a team.
Belief in something bigger than yourself.
At the same time, I look at what we've been producing for our children at the same time and I see a popular culture that promotes punishing achievement, promoting division, rage at the elderly, racial division and favoritism, aggressive humanism and suspicion of anything spiritual, selfishness, romanticizing crime and brutality, sarcasm and mockery as humor...
The left likes to promote "culture", well that's what they're building and it's intentional. Japan cares a little more about their people and it shows.

Yeah birth rates are plummeting in most westernized nations. I'm not sure the reason.
Well, the reasons are obvious. First, children hurt a family’s financial situation; they used to help, back when most were farmers. Second, birth control and abortion are easily available. Third, and most important, is the loss of religion, which used to infuse people with the idea that their duty was to provide acolytes of the one true faith.
Our societies are turning more and more toward hedonism. It is true that we can all lead “better” lives if we don’t have children - that is, better if you believe that hedonism and conspicuous consumption are best.

I disagree. I see parents giving everything to their kids before they earn it. I’m 50 and it started with kids just a few years younger than me.

Iceland
A prominent Rabbi in Reykjavik, Iceland, has called on the Icelandic government to increase their efforts in providing support for refugees. Rabbi Avi Feldmann, who leads the only synagogue in the country, expressed concern over the lack of action taken by the government in addressing the global refugee crisis.

Feldmann is from Brooklyn and moved to Iceland in 2018.
Iceland is probably just behind the timeline you see in the rest of Europe, be it the UK, France or Germany. You’ll see the same structural push for population replacement that you see elsewhere.
quote:
As late as the mid-1990s, foreigners who acquired Icelandic citizenship were required to adopt an Icelandic name. However, strong economic growth over the past several decades and a booming tourism sector more recently have drawn greater numbers of immigrants to the island nation—bringing increased diversity to the once-homogeneous society.

Strange scenes in the Icelandic parliament this week as three men broke into the building, with one half-naked protestor being dragged away from standing on a ledge overlooking the chamber. The trio are reportedly illegally settled migrants, and demanded at the scene that their families be allowed to enter the country and that they be given social housing.

I give Japan credit for many things, but they aren’t a thriving country long term. Any country that can’t replace its own population is literally a dying country. It will be a country of elderly people with no children.

They don’t put up with a certain demographic that the US is cursed with.

Littering used to be an enforced law. So did shitting and pissing on the sidewalks.
So did smash and grab, so did looting and burning cities, so did violently occupying police stations and federal court buildings.
