So they did show up for the national anthem?
They were in the locker room like they always are during the pregame ritual.
Army and Navy miss the anthem when they play football, too.

Now, instead of admitting he spoke before he understood and made a mistake, he's tripling down on this stupidity.
There was no mistake or misunderstanding. They don't give a shite...THAT IS THE PROBLEM. Get it in your dumb fricking head.

Are you? Or constitution allows us the freedom to partake or avoid things in which we don’t agree.
Though the team didn’t purposely avoid the Anthem, they have the constitutional right to do so.
Or would you prefer it to be like in dictatorships were one is killed if they don’t support the state ?

Everything, but as a starter, WTF is the Elite Eight tournament? He doesn’t know what he’s talking about and he thinks he’s catering to his base.

I thought the Republican Gov would want less intrusion by the government.
Mulkey has always taken her team into the locker room at the 12:00 mark. Suddenly, when this becomes a national scandal Landry wants to appear like a white night.
If he gets his way how does he plan on changing the bands football pregame routine. The players aren’t on the field when the National Anthem is played

Bro, get a clue. They are there on SCHOLARSHIP. Meaning they are getting paid. If the university had balls, the RULE would be in place to be out for the anthem at attention. It is not a Constitutional issue.
If they don't like it, they don't have to play.
You are arguing that a player doesn't have to follow rules? You are a moron.

I never said accidentally, that was your dumbass. They did not walk off in protest, they are never on the court for it. Hey guess what, neither is Ole Miss, neither is any SEC football team, hey neither is Army/Navy football teams.

No the school can expect them to be on the court for an event. That’s like suggesting you can drop a slur on the opposing team without accountability.

quote:So you believe it's a "bad look" and "damaging to (both teams') brand" when neither LSU nor the visiting team for football games in Tiger Stadium are on the field when the national anthem is played?
They are always in the locker room.
Then this is a bad look and is damaging the brand.

We have coaches making millions of dollars a year. We have administrators making millions of dollar per year. All at a PUBLIC university. If they can't figure it out, they should go.

In this case, one team was on the court and one wasn't. Now what is your argument? BAD LOOK!

Nobody cared until idiots tried to create a meme about it.
Literally nobody.
Again, Army and Navy are in the locker rooms for the anthem when they play, too.
