Yeah the Hollywood defenders always get so angry that people aren't going to watch a film due to this nonsense and will openly state that is the reason why.

This irks me so much.
If they had wanted a female herald, there IS ALREADY ONE - Nova.
I believe Stardust may also be a female herald.
It's not like the Silver Surfer is some kind of hugely well known brand, like Spider-Man, or Captain America. You could EASILY have tweaked the origin story of Galactus and his heralds to fit Nova into the same position.
If they had wanted a female herald, there IS ALREADY ONE - Nova.

the casting of the FF is actually really exciting.

I don't remember enough Sue Storm from the comics. Was she supposed to be wildly hot?
When I see her I think of tough, intelligent, sharply beautiful. Like Robin Wright in House of Cards. I wouldn't be surprised if they chose this to make her more of a peer to Reed Richards rather than the Jessica Alba type of Sue Storm.
fricking up Silver Surfer is classic Disney though. Of course they would. Perfect chance to reset and do right for the fans with a really cool property and they frick with it.
Pedro Pascal couldn't be more wrong for Reed Richards anyway. The other two are fine, though I don't know if Ebon can play a surly enough character.
