Stay at The Crescent. Eat at Don Artemio’s. Night cap at Eddie V’s or Crescent bar. All easily walkable and reasonably walkable to dickies arena. Also check out Bowie House and their restaurant if that’s more your vibe.

B&B Butchers
Wicked Butcher
Tinies (Mexico City Mexican food..incredibly good)
Heim BBQ on Magnolia St.
Bowie House and the Drover are probably the hottest hotel scenes (even if you don't stay there, $$$, the restaurants and bars are very good).

Check out The Modern art museum there. Great architecture and works there. Easily worth an hour or two of your time.

Have eaten at both of these. Stood in line for probably 30-40 minutes for Heim, but it was excellent BBQ.
Wicked Butcher is damn good too. We were in there on Mother’s-Daughter Weekend at TCU. It was packed with milfs
Fort Worth is such a clean town, or so it seems. And not just like one clean area and the rest is shite. You’ll run across a homeless person here and there, but it’s fairly sprawling and still seems well kempt.

My kid had a dance competition a few weekends ago and we ate dinner on the trendy west 7th street area. Per capita has to be some of the best looking talent I’ve ever seen.

It’s been a while but we used to love Lonesome Dove.
Don’t let the locals convince you to go to Joe T Garcias. It’s a neat patio scene but food is very basic and meh.

We tried Poloma Suerte from Tim Love in the Stockyards last time we were there. I’ll preface this with we’re a El Tiempo family when it’s all of us. I’ll eat Mexican food at the dirtiest dive place if the enchiladas are great, but with the wife and kids I don’t want to hear bitching. As for Lucky Dove, cheap Tex Mex it is not, but it has damn good. Venison fajitas, stuffed shrimp, and a solid lineup of standard Tex Mex. Margaritas were excellent also. No one complained and all agreed to go back next time.
Myself will be trying the two recs earlier for hole in the walls close to Joe T’s.

The Kimble Art Museum is awesome and free. The botanical gardens are right there too and fabulous
Lots of good suggestions in here, one more If you’re staying near Sundance. Reata is a good spot for drinks or a meal. It has 3 stories and you can sit on the roof.

As is the Japanese Garden.

Amon Carter is also free and has some great western art by Remmington and Russell. They are doing some renovation work as of last week so one section is closed.

Where is the concert? If in the stockyards, stay there. The Drover is super nice but has gotten very expensive. My go to hotel now is the Springhill Suites if staying in the stockyards. It has an awesome rooftop bar. Heim and Salsa Limon are my go to for food. I really like Paloma Suerte too, then head next door to Second Rodeo for drinks.
West 7th has gotten a bit trashier (by Fort Worth standards). If downtown head to the Thompson’s Bookstore, theres a speak-easy bourbon bar downstairs.

My favorite hotels are The Drover (stockyards) or The Sinclair downtown.
Wicked Butcher is great as others have said. Do not go to Ruth’s as I found it not worthy of the brand name. My daughter loves Gemelle for Italian.
Really easy city to get around in. Go to TCU and you can go into the football stadium.
