Not sure why this is hard to believe. In high school half the rednecks that went to our school would do shite like this daily
why do they care? How many times a day do you believe that the players on the team hear or use the n-word?

It's probably some stupid high school age kids who were out drinking beer. I'm not proud of some of the stuff we did at that age. I can't imagine it's any different then being blocked in by cats in downtown Shreveport and having my trick kicked because I was white in a black area

Have I heard white people use the n word before? Of course
In my 36 years of life I have never seen a white person say the n word toward a black person. Never once
I know it happens, just I’ve never seen it

The media is just awful
This is in the headline
"racial hate crimes"
Can they not just report that a bunch of idiots hollered despicable words at the team?

Right, and all of those people probably had a phone in their hands. None stopped to think hey we might want to film this or snap a picture of the truck or it's license plate.
The whole thing probably lasted a few seconds.

well, we at least know they never have listened to rap music.

I usually assume these types of stories are fake because many of them are proven so.
But this one sounds plausible. That some idiot can yell that and then drive off is different than a student yelling it at a player on the court and no one around them in that section responds.
So while I think this could have happened, isn’t this the proper response?
Some idiot you have never seen before and will never see again yelled a vulgar word at you and was gone. Can’t we just keep moving forward with our lives?
I was in a Wash, DC subway with a large group of people when a black teenager yelled “cracker” and threw the rest of a soft drink in our direction as we walked down the steps. The drink didn’t hit anyone nor splash drink on anyone. We just kept walking and I have never seen that person again nor will I ever. Do I remember the incident, sure. Am I paralyzed with shock, hardly.

Could it possibly have been loud rap music? Was there a Hard "R"? What does Jussie Smollet and Bubba Wallace have to say about this?

that doesn't matter in today's society. with so many phones readily accessible, anyone can get a few seconds of video. and I am sure there is some surveillance video.

racial hate crimes or slurs?
Posted on 3/26/24 at 11:25 am to c on z
So for those wondering, here's a picture of the team:
No wonder their reaction to this thing that totally happened was confusion. "This racial slur that I'm yelling is directed to the 3 of you in the back there!"
I also like how the truck(s) were white and both times they "revved their engines in a threatening manner"

Exactly.
Is is possible someone could have said something under their breath? Sure. Is it possible some a-hole could have said something? Sure. But that wouldn't be a sensational story. So they had to add the "fact" they were in the parking lot "revving their engines" yelling at a mostly white team. Not once, but twice!!!
When you add hyperbolic bullshite to your story it reduces your credibility. Ostensibly they're were cameras at/near the restaurant that caught the incidents? Right? And certainly someone else at the restaurant, a customer, worker, or just someone in the parking lot would have heard the ominous yelling and engine revving.
When you want to be a "victim"...you find ways to become a "victim".

its going to be something along the lines of draw string on the curtains had a loop on the end, so they just know that was racist and it was meant to represent a noose
