Guess that’s a way to collect extra money from us minions.
But 9% right out of the gate?
Seems they would put the tip in first.
Our neighbor moved here last May from Livingston TX where they have a MUD and was telling me that he always pays 3x in water/sewage than where he came from.

Don’t forget they have overbilled a lot of their customers already.

Smart people put a LOT of thought into where they live. Big cities are NOT a smart move.
Try to find smaller suburban incorporated cities adjacent so worst case scenario you can get politically active and actually make a difference.
Instead of DFW go Mid Cities for instance. The costs, quality, and freedom are worth the extra travel time of 15-30 minutes.

No elected goon ever has enough of the tax payers money to spend. NEVER!

Wait I thought Texas was the land of milk and honey and Louisiana is the only overtaxed state? Or at least that’s what this board tells me.

Houston is run by Central American communists. GTFO.

Wat? Are you talking about Dora?
She is the County Judge.
The mayor is an ancient white dude who hates pedestrians and cyclists and is actively removing the infrastructure improvements that make those modes of travel safer.

You think the Mayor actually runs big cities? People you have never heard of are calling the shots.
Our current presidency is a perfect microcosm of that.

Politicians that are found to be spending just to spend should be tried and convicted of treason. It's insane to me just how much bloat exists at every level of government.

Texas is a deep red state with four massive, deep blue cities and the Valley.

Houston is massive in size and even with $1B in grants it wouldn’t be enough for cyclists. Also, frick Critical Mass.

Every year for the last five or so, thieves, or perhaps Robin Hood’s.

It's light red at best these days. Biden got 46% of the vote in 2020.

Houston better than all of those even on a bad day

The worst of Houston is just as bad as the worst of of Memphis, Nola, etc. The saving grace is Houston has a bigger upper class than those cities entire population.
