Almost every single model out there right now outside of a couple of Tesla cars looks like a complete joke. It’s as if they were trying to make them ugly. Is there some kind of requirement to make theses vehicles hard on the eyes?

I might consider buying an EV one day but not if they don’t stop looking like a nerdy homeschool girl designed them.

They look like some appliance or furniture you get from IKEA

Like it was designed to go in a cartoon show

The cyber truck looks like it was designed on an Atari in the 1980s for a low budget trashy sci-fi film

It's supposed to be ironic right. Like they're making a joke of the futuristic look by making it look as dumb-futuristic as possible. That's why people like it right. It's like the fake faded bowling shirt at Urban Outfitters right. Idk

You ever noticed how lackluster the buildings the commies built in Russia? There you go.

I think most of them look cool.

The motors are fairly compact so the designers can give the cars the right proportions. There is more freedom to design whatever they want since they don’t need to stick with a large front overhang to accommodate a big transverse mounted engine.

Some are ugly but appearance is a minor thing compared to the other drawbacks. The upfront costs are high with high insurance premiums. The neighborhood mechanic might not be able to fix it if a problem developed which would necessitate a trip to the dealership. Range is limited, even more so in extreme temperatures and you are screwed if there is no electricity due to a storm or other problem with the electrical grid.

Bugatti is coming out with an EV

Most of the major car manufacturers' EVs look very similar to the similar models available with an ICE to me

Toyota Highlander (top) to BZ4X full elctric

Honda CRV (top) vs Upcoming (sometime this year) Prologue

But I will say that plug-in hybrids seem like the way to go, to me. Plug in for urban use with a fuel tank/generator to provide range for trips. At least in most of the country that makes substantially more sense.

I think EVs would have had a much better reception if it had not been forced on everyone like we were moving toward the world envisioned by Rusn in the song Red Barchetta

The all electric companies have sweet looking rides. The legacy companies have the little tikes versions. Probably just to differentiate

Well they have to build a car around the metric ton of batteries so the result is a space bubble.
