Tattered Flags at The Box

Went to my first baseball game of the season last night at the Box. Great to see the Tigers play so well.
I was embarrassed at the tattered conditions of the Championship flags in front of the stadium. Has anyone else noticed? As much attention to detail that is given to this program, why can’t we put up some flags that aren’t worn out? It’s disrespectful to the teams that earned those banners and to the fans that support the program.

We’re more worried about flags outside of the stadium than the baseball being played inside it

It's a minor gripe but you are correct. Laziness from the facilities people at LSU.
Now in their defense, those flags take an absolute beating in that location but there is zero reason not to have a box full of each of them and replace them when necessary.

Most intelligent, sane people can worry about more than one thing.
I do understand why you might not think that happens here, though.

Yeah I also noticed that they were beat up when I went through the main gate near champions plaza for opening day.
Crazy thing is around the time of the first pitch banquet, they were auctioning off several used championship flags that flew previously that were in much better condition than the ones currently in place. I had expected to see some brand new ones flying after seeing used ones being auctioned off for big bucks.

A great fund raiser for the Athletic Department would be to replace the Flags every year and auction of the old ones.
ETA. I see my great idea has already been thought of.

I live in Denton Texas. You won’t find flags in bad condition here. Bc they take pride in things.
Tired of shite hole Louisiana being shite hole bc people don’t wanna take care of it or make changes

One of the first things I was told when running a business is always make sure the flags are in good condition at all times.

Bullshiite … your own Post Office has the same issues
An upside-down U.S. flag is a symbol of distress. Distressed is how Lisa Neidinger, a 23-year Army veteran, felt as she tried for weeks to get someone to replace the battered flag flying over the Coppell post office on South Denton Tap Road.
Almost every day, she drives by the Coppell post office on South Denton Tap Road. She looks up and sees the most tattered U.S. flag she ever did see.
“It’s beyond disrespectful,” she told The Watchdog. “It’s a complete disgrace.”
The flag is so battered that it looks like someone hung a colorful beach towel atop the flag pole.

Thanks for calling him out! People never look in the mirror!!

Surprised military veterans themselves haven't yanked that down. They take that flag very seriously...as they should.

Coppell is not the same city as Denton Texas and not in Denton County. Coppell is in Dallas County. Coppell is 25 miles from Denton.

I've seen my grandfather slap a man at his business one time because of the disreapectful way they were displaying the flag. This was in the 70s.
