I'll eat crow on this. I was very critical of their play against playoff teams. 11-6 isn't so bad.

We have a chicken little Karens board sadly.

Important thing is we’ve played well against our first round opponent and are 3-1 against them.

Well... his X handle clearly has "TBW" in it
That's The Bird Writes... or a group of media personnel who covers the Pelicans

Again, in our two losses against Minn we played without Zion, CJ, Trey, Herb, Jose and Naji in the first; the second loss (by one point at home) we were without Zion, CJ, Trey and Jose. This narrative that we have been awful against the top teams in the West is way overblown.

The great thing about all this debate about how we stack up against the top teams is that we have a 4 game stretch of OKC Buck Celtics Suns coming up soon, then we’ll know truly where we’re at

Do you discount the wins vs teams missing good players? How’s that work?
Posted on 3/16/24 at 11:01 am to GynoSandberg
I’m guessing the thought process is our strength is our bench beating the crap out of opposition bench but in the playoffs the bench mins shrink substantially.
That all being said, IMO Current Zion is the All-NBA version as opposed to start of the season version which was just very good. Having an elite of the elite guys makes a difference.

Everyone upvoting just sees the numbers. I see the context :) .
Good news is that we can compete with the Clippers. Who we will see in a few weeks.

I think the Pels have the roster to compete with everyone. I worry about Willie’s late game coaching in close games. I also worry about the refs screwing us by swallowing the whistle on obvious fouls committed against Zion in the playoffs. Need our 3pt shooting to come through in the playoffs to fight back the potential officiating manipulation.

The most important context right now is the win loss column, since it determines our playoff future.

people like fisher?

Hes an eternal optimist sunshine pumper. I wouldn’t read any of his stuff. His takes are always extremely strange and completely off. Hes basically a complete opposite version of Mac- which I wouldn’t consider a good thing.
