He's putting more effort on the defensive end than offense now. It's beautiful to watch.

Yeah Nets suck but honestly shows how good this team is even on a bad shooting night we won easily.

I wan gonna make a thread asking why Z and BI barely ever both score over 25, they've played what, about 110-150 games together by now? Probably only happened 5-6 times.

I can't even complain this season because it's because of how damn deep this team is and how many people can create shots. This year it's a huge positive.

Prior years it seems like they just can't eat "good" together and I don't know if that might come back to haunt them, because they have looked bad when the others don't show up.

Wonder if they could win games where it's ALL on the stars to pull out the victory and the role players fall back.

No because our schedule is brutal but I don’t really give a shite as long as we one of those top 6.

I think they can, and I can see the story being written to play out as NO ends up with a top 3 seed and Zion getting MVP consideration (basically just TV conversation, and maybe 1 or 2 votes). I can definitely see this year playing out like that and low key, the NBA would benefit from that story line and their playoff games might be the most watched of the 1st round.

I can DEFINITELY see that happening.
Think I'm gonna go ahead and get some tickets to the Pistons game, but dudes be sitting vs us so I usually wait until the day before to see if I get any indicator from media.

I just grabbed 2 mid level tickets for 40$ each, taking my daughter to her first b ball game, even though she doesn't gaf about it lol. I still ain't been to Lil Cesars arena and I gotta see my **** Z in person before I die.

But I thought you were just a Zion fan and dont give a frick about the pelicans?? So are you a Jose fan too? Just curious?
I'm a legit b ball head bruh lol, Yea I only watch the Pels because Zion plays for them but I love basketball in general, I watch the game deeply, down to every miniscule detail.

Jose has a hella impact every time he touches the floor. Underrated as a shooter and finisher and his ability to stay in front of guards changes the defense, even being a small arse dude.

YALL SEE WTF I BEEN SAYING ABOUT JOSE.

Dude is a frickin difference maker and creates turnovers at a historic rate lol

Z has started a game 5-5 25+ times in his career if I'm not mistaken.
quote:

Well... his X handle clearly has "TBW" in it

That's The Bird Writes... or a group of media personnel who covers the Pelicans
Birds don't write doe. Neg rep pending.
quote:

Slow down there, buddy.
Don't forget bro, their defensive numbers suffered worse than their offensive numbers once Z went down. He was the only change in the lineup for the last 40-50 games. Herb was Herb, as I said, but Z was making plays and locking down on the ball. Especially in crunch time
quote:

Defense is definitely better than December 22 Zion, but the offense is not yet quite as good.

The good news is that means Zion still has another level that he can reach in the rest of the season.
Slow down brother, Z was making crazy clutch defensive plays jumping passing lanes abd blocking shots in clutch moments last season pre injury. I don't know if one is better than another, just as long as he's on the floor and in shape he's a good defensive player.

Last season before he got hurt, Herb was Herb but Zion was on a stretch where he was the best defender on the floor for a few games in a row. Game against PHX, MIN, both against Philly all in that stretch. He had defensive plays late in each game though they didn't win all of them.

Willie still took him out at the scheduled time lol

"MAN THAT **** CANT GUARD ME" hype asf walking to the bench lol
quote:

---if you graded each one individually on a scale of 1-10, Herb would be a 10...and the other 4 would all be somewhere between a 2 and a 3. I can't see giving a "4" to any of those guys. The fact the Pels apparently have an overall defensive rating in the NBA somewhere around a "7" is amazing and a testament to just how good Herb is.

---Shooting offense comes and goes, game by game...defense doesn't. This is why I continue to say that the development of Dyson Daniels is SO very important. He's gonna make a world of difference next year...assuming he is still around.

---Come playoff time, teams are gonna concentrate more & more on avoiding Herb...and going after some of our "2s", I think, by now, most everybody here knows who those guys are. I just don't see an answer...for this problem...until next year. However...ya never know !!

I'm just glad you chose to say "defenders" instead of talking about players individual D, never talk about another man's D. Pause.

If only there was a young player on the bench who the other team has barely scouted who can come in and get hot immediately.

Or maybe if there was a white dude who was born to shoot on this team who hasn't played in a while and might throw the other team off?

What if

Jose is such a good player and very underrated by sports talk people. Bro can shoot, defend on ball, create turnovers at a near historic rate lol, can finish some tough layups over bigs, his catch and shoot game has been absolute butter this year. He's a winning player and will be a hell of a difference maker come playoff time.

The open court speed and agility is back fasho. Damn that boy looks completely different than a few weeks ago. Getting low on his drives again, know he feeling good.

This team is dangerous asf

You really want us to believe you’re a “homie from Detroit” that sits here posting on a pelicans sites talking shite about Zion but you’re his so called fan? You’re just a loser troll with a fake persona because your bored or clearly don’t get attention from mommy and daddy at home.
I don't give a frick what you believe. You wanna see pics of me in the club? Pics with multiple women? Pics of my cars? My guns? My family?

No bro. Get off my dick. You are not a woman and named Yaz, i'm a straight man. I don't want you hanging off my nuts every time I want to talk Zion/Pelicans. Get the frick out my face bro. I'd legit slap the shite out of you.
