I know all of y'all are working, but Patrick is on Good Morning Football on the NFL Network. He just named his top 5 LSU Tigers of all time: Cannon, Burrow, himself, Dorsey, and Faulk. Biggest thing of note, he said he’s committed to helping Corey Raymond snag some more recruits for DBU. Love that guy.

You never name yourself.
I concur with the list. It is way too hard to do only 5.
I like PP7 a lot. He really got the honey badger straightened out when he came in the NFL and mentored him. Now both those guys are out there pumping LSU and helping however they can.

Leaving off JD and honey badger and it’s justifiable. Embarrassment of riches.

Is it okay to name yourself in the top three LSU players of all time? Also, what about Honey Badger?

Joe - Heisman + Natty
Billy - Heisman + Natty
Dorsey - tons of defensive awards, best player in Natty team
Daniels- Heisman

now 5 is where it gets tough

Honey Badger- one of the best individual seasons i’ve ever seen on a 13-1 team.

Casanova - 2x All American 3x All SEC. LSU was good but not top 5 any year he was there.

Kevin Faulk- All time rushing leader. what he means to the program when he signed. the beginning of the beginning of the golden age of LSU football

I looked at that 2003 team and idk if any one player was top 5. A few top 25 players, Lavalais, Spears, Mauck,Hill, Webster

I fricking love Pat Pete, easily the best player in p&g 2009-2010.

He was in bounds, btw.

Obviously one could name many others, like Charley Alexander and Jerry Stovall, to list two.

it's probably my age but I take issue with Faulk being above some others more than anything else

it's just his opinion though. i don't actually care

Casanova has to be a part of the top 5. The younger generation just aren’t very aware of guys like Casanova and how dynamic of a player he was.

Huge leader for LSU.
Mathieu owes his career to him.
And not to mention his health and wellbeing

Bert Jones easily in the top 5. Admittedly I didn’t see him play in person, I’ve gone on multiple deep dives and watched countless hours of highlights (there’s a shite load) and read about Bert Jones. When they asked Bill Belichick if he could choose any QB in history to lead the Patriots other than Tom Brady he said Bert Jones. This was in 2016 several decades after he retired.

Billy Cannon and Joe Burrow are an easy 1/2. Faulk should be top 5 as well. For the last spot Hodson is probably the popular answer but I haven’t watched enough of his highlights nor do I know much about him, so I’d just be talking out of my arse.

We have too many good players for PP7 to be top 5 IMO. Love the confidence and being a great representation of LSU though.

It’s always great fun to suppose… and to his credit PP7 knows one or two things about the game

Joe Burrow
Tyrann Mathieu
Glenn Dorsey
Patrick Peterson
Kevin Faulk

Cannon, Casanova, & Stovall wouldn’t touch the field in today’s game
