Yep, 27 years old in Birmingham, Alabama. I was driving my 1970 light green Mustang on a rural road and saw some cop cars on a dirt road to my right. I slowed and scoped out some other cop cars about 50 yards down the dirt road and then continued on my drive.
Within a couple of minutes 2 cop cars with lights flashing shot past me and over a rise in front of me. As I top the rise the 2 cop cars were blocking the road and the officers were pointing a pistol and a shotgun at me while another flagged me down. I got out, was told to shut up and cooperate while they searched my car and trunk. After a minute of being shocked by being held at gunpoint they were done and put up their weapons.
I was told there was a body found on the dirt road and the cops were searching for a suspect who was in their 20s, long black hair, mustache, driving a light blue Mustang. And……there I was except for the color of the Mustang. They apologized and drove off. It was a crazy scene.

Yep. We knew a couple that were having trouble financially in Florida. They were living in a poor area in Sarasota. We visited them and when we left got pulled over for running a stop sign. But I came to a complete stop. Then he asked me what I was doing in that part of town. I told him about my visit and he seemed unhappy that he wasn't going to make an arrest.
But I was respectful and didn't give him a reason to escalate the situation even though he was a dick.

Yes, because of my zip code I get lots of calls to donate to the benevolent fund each spring.

I've had cops treat me with respect and give me the benefit of the doubt in situations, even letting me go when I probably should've been arrested or given a ticket several times.
So in a way I was profiled as a clean cut white guy.

You admitted to breaking the law on an interstate in TX that is heavily monitored for drug trafficking. Short disruptions to your travel without a fine? Seems okay to me.

undercover ABC tried to get me for an underage alcohol purchase at the northgate CVS when I was 22 or 23.
I laughed when I realized what was happening and the undercovers did not take kindly to it and started screaming at me, asking "do you think this is funny? do you think we're a joke?"

I was heading to class at NLU, driving on Hwy 165 (which was only 2 lanes at the time) when a state trooper pulled me over.
He said he pulled me over had been watching me driving erratically for the past 5 miles. I responded that was impossible since I had just pulled onto the road about a mile back. He grumbled and took my license then came back in a better mood after a few minutes. He told me the real reason he had pulled me over was they had reports someone was running drugs through the area in a vehicle similar to mine.
He was known in the area as being a real hard-arse, the kind who would give his own mother a ticket for going a mile over the speed limit. His letting me go with nothing more than a "have a good day" blew my mind.

Some years ago, I had a Chevy Lumina as a work car. It was an incredibly reliable car, made it to 419,000 miles on the original drive train.
My firm had summer help, one of whom was a black male (he is now a police officer). I had a hearing in Dallas and was driving down I-20. In Texas, we were stopped around Marshall for going "4 over". The stop was about three minutes long as the trooper quickly figured out we weren't drug mules.
This happened to me in Sorrento about a year ago. APSO deputy pulled over my janky Camry with 2 missing hubcaps. I was commuting to work at 530 am on Airline(US 61) . You could sense the disappointment when he saw me get out my car with license and registration.
Deputy said I was driving too fast through an intersection and through a school zone. I said "Uh. I was maybe going 59 mph in a 55 through a green light back there and it's 1.5 hours before that school zone is active."
He said "have a good morning !"after his partner used a flashlight to inspect the inside of my car while walking around it.
without question they were looking for someone or something coming through the area.

never. I'm always polite and treat the office in the same manner that i would like to be treated. Works flawlessly every single time.

About a month ago, leaving my neighborhood, a undercover p/u was passing on the boulevard at the front of our street ( 45 mph zone) . I pull out and I'm behind him in the left lane ,no other cars on the road for about 1000 ft ,he slows down until he can get behind me and follows me for about the next 10 minutes. This happens all the time ,an undercover pick up will get behind me and follow for 10- 15 minutes or so and then they're gone. Not gonna catch me doing anything,

I drove a fairly nice lifted truck in my late teens and early 20's, often out running around late at night and was frequently pulled over for very vague reasons.
Never got any tickets other than twice when I was legitimately speeding, probably was pulled over 15 times, mostly by sheriff's deputies that didn't even have radar.
Once I had Barqs in a glass bottle in my cupholder with the label turned and the cop got all fired up.

Yep, got pulled over in a small West Texas town. I was hunting on a lease and decided to go sight seeing. I drove through Iraan and a state trooper was starting at me as I passed him. When I came back through he pulled me over claiming I wasn't wearing a seat belt, which I was. I told him what I was doing and where I was hunting and he let me go.

Nah I’ve never been poor. Wouldn’t know what that’s like.

Driving home late one night I got pulled over for running a stop sign that wasn't there. One of the cops radioed, "roll the K9 unit" and they made me stand there while they badgered me with a bunch of questions, obviously trying to bait me into doing or saying something stupid. Finally they said, "have a good night, sir" and sent me on my way.
Obviously they were looking for a reason to search my truck. They wouldn't have found anything. I don't know what triggered their interest. Maybe they were bored.

I'm also polite and respectful when I'm stopped. But, the stop was questionable. Unless you are sticking your head out of a sunroof and politely stating "I am pulling over officer and I'm a respectful guy" what you say AFTER the stop is irrelevant. The profiling occurs before the stop.
