I’m slowly losing weight thanks to this board but have always had love handles. What are specific execrsises I can do to help trim them down? Thanks

It's very hard to "spot reduce" fat, you just either lose it or not, how your body chooses to store fat is largely out of your hands.

There is no such thing as targeting specific fatty spots. You have to lower your overall body fat percentage.

As everyone has said, it’s really hard to target specific items as you try to lose weight. The standard calorie deficit approach is your best strategy.
HOWEVER, having said that, grabbing a dumbbell with one hand, holding it by your side, and bending over to that side and then pulling yourself back up is EASILY the best exercise for me for obliques. The next closest is plank holds for general core work.

You’re gonna need to do upside down side crunches
They’re not hard once you figure it out

You gotta do some cool sculpting with a waist vibration belt.

Love handles always seem to be the last to go when trying to slim down. Best way to go about losing them is through diet. There's no real special way to target them through working out but working on your core will work the areas close to your love handles.

Plate push away. Everytime some puts a plate of food In Front of you, push it away

Yeah if I could only spot reduce the fat around my obliques, I'd look a lot thinner
But it doesn't work that way
I probably do need to add some core training eventually but I'm not focusing on that until I drop another 15 lbs at least

Diet. That’s the only way.
But some bad news, the love handles are the last to go along with pudge around the navel. I got down to 142 and still had some. Eff that. I looked sick. My goal now is to grow bigger so it looks smaller.
You can do some weighted core work to grow the abdominal muscles. That will help with aesthetics.

I'm being honest, seriously, not trying to be cute and joke around. Serious answer. "Breathing Squats" which are just really really long sets of squats, 20ish is the minimum. Technique matters, so if your form sucks, get better. You can work up to 50-60 reps.
Doesn't directly do anything to "Love Handles" but secondarily. This will burn shitloads of calories and you'll get big and strong and no one will notice your love handles(which will be smaller, but probably not "gone" completely) when they're ogling your gigantic gorilla back.
Also....burpees.

The fact you got 5 upvotes makes me weep.
1) It is bad for your spine. Your spine is not for that, especially adding weight to it.
2) Why would you try to build muscle there and push your fat out even more?
Like anything else, you think it works because you changed your diet.
Let the downvotes commence.

I think you should work your abs even if you're fat. They're muscles too. But yes, losing love handles is going to take some serious dedication to diet. For many, maybe even most, they're the last thing to go.
